He was more shít than hot when I saw him play.

yeah

Was a fantastic talent, not sure if his time at Bayern will have helped or hindered him IMO. £15M not a bad price for him though

That's a bargain for a player that good. When you consider the going rate for Lallana is £30m.

well lallana has the english tax on his price

posted on 6/6/14

Lallana is English.

Groovy.

Ozil was fooking class last season when I saw him play. Times change though

For Real*

He's a class player

No idea why we (United) aren't in for him though. He's hardly done poorly at Bayern either, he just had competition from 2 of the top 5 wingers in the world to deal with.

Would love Shaqiri for £15m.

He has end product. He is erratic, but young enough to improve and could be an absolute steal at that price.

Rumour has it he is not a replacement for the Lallana deal, we are still pursuing that, but is instead a replacement for the Salah/Kono deal that never materialised in January.

Lallana is the better player, don't let the English thing stop you though. He's not only a great 2 footed technical player, he has energy in abundance suited to our game and is also a leader which will only bode well for future.

Just get the impression Lallana is being dismissed a bit too easy. Yes the price tag is high but put into perspective how much our rivals paid for their midfielders.

I honestly have never seen this guy play. I thought until quite recently it was the Macedonian chap of the same name who once scored direct from a corner against England.

not sure he is

He'd be another signing along the lines of him being a young talented player who went to a big club but struggled to make a big impact, we seem to try target these players, get them a bit cheaper I guess.

posted on 6/6/14

he hasnt struggled, hes done very well when played, even gotze finds it hard to get a game

posted on 6/6/14

that's even better then, I meant struggled as not played as many games as he'd like, fair enough it is Munich. It's one thing we can offer too much better chance of regular first team football we've space in our squad.

Lallana is a great player but look at the level ha has played at all his life, how can he justify such a price tag?? similar to Gotze and Hazard

What will pique say?

KOTB I hear your point but I think the goetze price tag was also absurd, not exactly pulled up trees.

Hazard is a special player that doesn't come around everyday so all in all Chelsea got him for a bargain.

Shaqiri Shaqiri?

Brilliant news..

Only 22 but has a wealth of experience.

He's a top top player. I really hope we get him. He can do a job on both flanks.

posted on 6/6/14

Thought he was predominantly left footed?

posted on 6/6/14

Now that would be a signing to get excited about

Exactly the point i made earlier..saints have effectively priced lallana out of the lfc move. Cesc..shaquiri etc have cl football yet are cheaper.
