Not what we need. We need pace.
Pace in attack doesn't need to come from the striker. I believe Walcott, AOC, Ozil and Gnabry provide enough pace when available.
The pace rhetoric only developed when all 4 of them were unavailable, which no-one envisioned.

In that case we might as well stick with giroud. The reason we need a pacy striker with good movement is to get the best out of Ozil
Would easily go with mandzukic rather than the trash pile remy, if we can't get balo then sign up mandzukic
No thanks. If Wenger bring in Mandzukic he hasnt learned anything.
I doubt he's the one who told he wanted to leave. Guardiola clearly doesn't rate him that high.
Not so straightforward imo; you might want a more imposing no.9 to get on the end of crosses from your wingers, but the wingers need to be released first. One of the most outstanding features of Benzema's game is how he plays the wingers in. With midfield runners like yours also able to provide the finishing, I actually think Benzema could be a superb fit for your game.

Giroud is a very good player. Tired, run-into-the-ground, on-his-last-legs Giroud is pretty poor. With arsenal fans trying to justify "bringing back cesc" as a depth issue, you'd think our more pressing depth concern would be a Striker that's confortable playing with his back to goal.
Why would he leave a team capable of winning the league to a team that only competes for 4th place?

Only issue is Benzema won't cost below 30 million. Mandzukic shouldn't cost above 20.

What on earth does this mean, is wenger going to be criticised if he brings in a top striker such as mandzukic lol

Mata came from a team that had not won the league. Van Persie did leave your team to join a team capable of winning the league and did.
So I would expect Mandzukic to do the same

I thought one of your issues was how either would fit the system. Wenger might not be as possession-obsessed as Guardiola, but it's about the closest you'd get in the PL.
Being a bit part player in a **** poor german league isn't as noteworthy as winning trophies with Arsenal in the best league in the world

You are right. the difference is Mario is better in the air, and plays better as a pivot. Madrid effectively plays with 2 strikers (Di Maria and Marcelo providing the with on the left).
One is a poor man's van persie, the other is giroud with more pace and bottle.

Stupid comment really, because he wants to play football, not sit on the bench, and he's said Pep's style of play doesnt suit him.

He also wants to win important trophies and we all know Arsenal are not in the run in for those

Of course we aint mate, we're here just to make money, get 4th, we don't want any stinking trophies. Only CFC and Man C have a chance of winning an 'important' trophy, so what is the point of the other 18 teams in the league.
