Patience.

Thing is, if we'd just kept our mouths shut for a change, we'd all be happy that we'd signed one decent striker on a free early in the window. Instead we're all annoyed that we haven't signed another yet. We need to stop announcing signings that haven't signed.

Agreed SHH

Pearce needs to be a bit more cautious in his upfront approach.

I'm more than happy with Fryatt. It is usually us giving away freebies when we should of had a fee. Hull fans must be well peed off and to get one over Bruce for a change is a big plus too. He stung us with Hobbs although I do believe Hobbs will come good again.

It's not just Pearce, though. Seems to be something we've done again and again. Maybe with some more background staff in the club, we'll keep things a bit more hush hush.

Bye Bye Lars!

Let's just forget the Dutchman and move on. This is possibly a consequence of gaining a reputation for not paying our bill's or player wages being paid late in May.

I hope Fawaz learn's from this and we still lack a CEO, that is of more concern than the flying dutchman?

Seriously, what is it with the Dutch and Forest. Maybe he had the sence to visit the place first before putting pen to paper.

Perhaps he mistakenly got off the train at Dirtby and that put him off?

CEO of Excelsor says that he expects the deal to be done today.

I actually think this one will go through after seeing this even though it did have echoes of the verhoek deal

These things get leaked these days even without Fawaz, our manager etc saying something via the media. We've seen on a few occasions that the selling side or player have let slip. I think it's the world we live in these days and in this case where Pearce said something it was "hoped" to have them signed.

I haven't seen anything suggested that it's fell through yet and there was talk of an answer around 48 hours in one place. We've failed with signing one Dutchman in the past Iwas, but have quite a few that have signed. So the only sensible thing to suggest it's a nation Forest have had regularly in the side over the years.

We have Dorus Remember, everyone seems to forget he is Dutch and is playing for us.

Ray, yes these things get leaked. But, if people within the club didn't say we were close to signing people it'd be different. That gets the hopes up more than reading it in the papers or wherever.

SHH, people would then accuse the club of not communicating with the fans!

From Dutch sources about 6 hours ago

Lars Veldwijk and his old club Excelsior think that the transfer of the striker to the Nottingham Forest in England will be completed soon. The attacker is now back in the Netherlands to take care of some final business and also the final paperwork between the clubs which is still to be completed.

"It is only when all the signatures are officially put to paper, but I expect it will be okay at the end of the day," explained general manager of Excelsior Ferry de Haan at RTV Rijnmond.

According to some English newspapers Veldwijk still has doubts about his move, and that would be the reason he is back in the Netherlands. But the final report on the transfer to Nottingham Forest, seems imminent.

----------------------------

Still up in the air though. He hasn't committed.

Would they Will? Isn't that just the same as every other club? If nothing happened all summer, maybe. But if we're signing people and finding out once they're signed and not before, then only an idiot would complain.

Apparently Feyenoord have first refusal on players from Excelsior as they are a feeder club. That was the hold up. Hopefully this Lars will be as magical as the other Lars that played for Forest...

................

Iwas must have been making a different point. I thought he was suggesting something as a theme that related to the transfer that fell through a couple of years back. But that would be just stupid considering the list, one of our previous dutch signings was on NLN's coaching team FGS
