Because they just hate being there. That and money, lots & lots of money!

Sagna stayed with us during our bad times and gave it all

fabregas left us when we needed him the most

Sagna is at the age now where he gave us his best years

Fabregas fúcked off when we made him the player he was.

Sagna deserves respect and a last pay packet

Fabregas didn't derserve to come back after his 'beloved' Barcelona kicked him out.

If you play with stars, you tend to raise your game. See Clichy and Nasri as examples.
Sagna will follow suit.

Do I care mate, your club would be nothing without the owner's money, if any of our players go there they are just plain greedy above anything else

He did not come from Russia

Agree 100%.

Sagna could have left on a number of occasions in the past (for larger pay packets and a greater chance of silverware) yet he chose to remain at the club.

He was offered a number of contracts but turned them down as wanted a new challenge.

Good luck to him.

True about our owner's money. It's not City's fault we have a billionaire willing to splash the cash. Arsenal's billionaire is just ....a silent Stan.

How much would Sagna be worth if he had two years left on his contract?

Basically if he had made his intentions clear that he would leave Arsenal, then I'm sure Arsenal would have sold him to get some cash.

Can't accept the argument that Sagna left for money. If that were the case he would have left Arsenal a long time ago. Understand PSG (amongst others) were prepared to offer him a fairly hefty package a couple of years ago yet stayed with Arsenal.

Kolo Toure a similar case. Provided AFC with a number of years of loyal service and went to City - won the league.

Ew-Zil

He didn't deserve to come back?

You say that as if Arsenal would be doing him a favour by re-Signing him. He's went to the club that will be challenging for ALL trophies realistically.

I like you mate, but come on. You're a Liverpool fan.

The most overly sensitive, over-reactionary creatures God put breath in.

So you go from first-choice at Arsenal on maybe £90k(?) to second-choice at City on a rumoured £150k. You're right, that's not a money switch. He just loves the football.

Maybe Suarez will devour some Brazilian child during the WC to give the Liverpool fans something to discuss?

Arsene Wengooner

He could have been earning 150k+ a week years ago. Why did he therefore choose to stay at Arsenal and remain on the same salary if money was his sole motive?

What with two leg breaks, only City pay that kind of money, and they never made any bid, your stupidity knows no bounds.

He served us well but i personally think his move was good for both parties.

Thanks for the Service Bacary.

I have no problem with the way he left, similar to Toure and Clichy when they left.

Great Sagna gave his best years and what did you give him? One FA Cup. One day he will sit down with his grandkids and so them the one medal. His mate Clichy will pull out PL winners, FA Cup and League Cup.
There was a time when you guys boasted that anyone who left Arsenal went downhill. Not anymore

Thank you for your kind words.

Sagna was approached by PSG in 2012 and turned them down. I suspect PSG could comfortably accommodate 150k a week salary? No?

It is also well known through various (trusted and respected) Arsenal bloggers (Kevin Whitcher, Tim Payton, Tim Stillman to name but three) that Sagna declined a number of other lucrative offers to remain at AFC.

While my intelligence is debateable it would appear your ignorance is not.
