Has there been a better header of the ball for a little guy?

Sorry, hadn't noticed your username, thought it made for an interesting topic. Santillana's an all-time legend in Spain for his heading ability. Ayala always amazed me. More than capable of holding his own against the world's best strikers despite standing just 1.74m tall.

Fabio Cannavaro

ivan zamorano was the best header of a ball ive seen

he was only about 5ft 9, but could leap and hang in the air like a condor

For such a dimunitive figure, with ability to rise and float before glancing, directing or powerfully hitting the back of the net, there was only one ALEX YOUNG, The GOLDEN VISION.
Timmy showed he still has it. Pity australia took the Captaincy off him though.

Cannavaro was good in the air Mex, though personally I rated him more for how he worked on the ground Mex. Specifically, how hard it was to leave him beaten. If you beat him you had the bat of an eyelid to make something of it, or he'd be back biting your ankles.

Zamorano had a great leap on him too. Cahill by all accounts is a great header or the ball. Didn't really watch that much of his career, but I have the notion that Henrik Larsson was too.

Hernandez can be useful in the air for a not so big guy. Perhaps not quite as good as Cahill.
