Who's going to want to come and play for Alan Irvine.?

I actually think he's been brought in as we'll be bringing through a lot of our 'kids' and there won't be a big arrival in players as some think.

Don't even get me started on what Preston & Sheff Wed fans are saying about his time at their clubs and his style of play

I think we're in the doo doo.

Only 12 months ago we were looking forward to either improving or at least maintaining our 8th place in the previous season. How things change so quickly with us now talking relegation.

"Who's going to want to come and play for Alan Irvine?"

Pretty much any player who wants Premier League football and Premier League wages.

Our status as a PL club is far more significant than who our Head Coach is!

Just spoke to a director at the club, won't name him as he is a friend, and basically all the staff are bemused and shocked at the decision to appoint Irvine and there has not been one say anything different.

Some sponsors and would be sponsors have requested a statement from peace and some have withdrawn their offers, and have been inundated with requests for money back on lots of deposits for boxes and executive seats.

The rebellion has begun.

Shows how powerful Peace is within the club
The other Directors have no say in major decisions at the club as Peace makes them all
I used to defend the way he ran WBA but this is indefensible

Sorry L&P but i'll take that with a shovel of salt!

No Peace at the press conference

Pat Murphy just confirmed on twitter that Burton will be handling press conference.

Peace ducks out once again. Obviously has full faith in his appointment.

Where's Firey when we need him? He's the one with loads of contacts in the club!

Me too mate.

May be i'm just an eternal optimist but i've just got a feeling everything will be OK.

I also think our transfer record will be broken this summer!

Agree to an extent.

Pulling power still has a role to play however.

Just ask George Thorne and Billy Jones 👍

George Thorne says he wants to leave because Albion won't pick him - but he's got to get back to match fitness, which he has now done at Derby, and now he needs to grow a pair and fight for his place in the team like everyone else.
Billy Jones left for more money - he's not interested in what coach he plays for, he's playing for money.

I personally think Tim Sherwood was by far the better choice of coach, but as is usual he wanted to bring in his own lieutenants, and as usual JP argued the toss.

Agree with you Cox although the record transfer will be no great surprise with much more money about.
Don't really get the negativity around the club.
Its Irvine's chance to show what he can do. We still have some decent players and cash for new acquisitions.A new MacAuley and Jones would be most welcome.

As for the 'new MacAuley', looks like he'll be signing sooner than we thought in the shape of a certain Joleon Lescott!!!
