I was surprized he came out and challenged one of the best strikers in the world to prove it against his team and therefore eliminate them.
Maybe the heat and humidity in Manaus got to him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Losing to Uruguay would not eliminate us, it could end up in a scenario with us Costa Rica and Uruguay are all on 3 points and someone goes through on goal difference.
Of course it could also end up with Costa Rica on 9 and us, Italy and Uruguay on 3 as well...
Nah, Forsa, he comes out with that stuff all the time.
When we beat Bolton, he said it was a historic game.
We won one game 2-1 and he said that he thought we had played so well to come from a goal behind, he'd have settled for the draw.
Another game, we lost against Everton and he said he thought it was the best he'd seen us play all season.
Believe me, there isn't enough room here to type them all.
Way to go woy.
Take one of the world's best ever players and poke him with a stick just before we play against his team why don't you..............
Suarez was only top scorer and player of the tournament in the last Copa America which Uruguay won.
Suarez only scored 3 goals in the last world in 2010. Good old Woy.
He has poked the beast now. Doesn't he realise that Suarez thrives on critisism etc.?
If he does make the game, England are done for. Cahill and Jags are just too slow (even worse in the heat).
A certainty for first goalscorer. I'm amazed at how secure Woy's job is even if England go out in the Groups.
Woy is a first class tithead and a 3rd rate manager.
And that being complimentary.

Suarez is injured and Roy is challenging an injured player to be fit and therefore I think his comments have some impact. If Suarez was fully fit, I agree, it would be a daft thing to say.
woy is hoping suarez will be rushed back and cripple himself
Has Suarez played since surgery on his knee? He coupd either push for a recall or be an impact player starting. But one thing is for sure, a nice hefty challenge will shake him up, could either inspire him to win the game alone.....or have an early bath.
The Sturridge interview on ITV was a breath of fresh air, Uaregay sho I ld be more worried about Englands attack
