Hahahahaha
Vermaelen is actually decent though
Apparently they are giving us Bebe as well.
You'd be lucky to get him
Very strange rumour, I would argue cleverley isn't good enough to get into our midfield at derby so why would arsenal be interested?
Odd.
Rather have Steve Sidwell. Too bad he's home stoke.
I would personally prefer to keep Cleverley. He had a horrid season last year, but so did everyone else at United. The only player who didn't do badly was De Gea.
Cleverley would be a back up player and we do need to keep some (he'd probably be the same at Arsenal too). Fletcher and Carrick are getting on (even though they play the DM role, which is not Cleverley's role). Then there is the option of Fellaini. We need to get CMs that will be in our first 11 and not add to squad players.
Same goes for CB. We have better players there than TV and if we are going to go for one, it has to be to improve the CB rather than add to the squad. It's time to use Smalling and Jones in the centre rather than at RB or DM and then act surprised why they aren't playing well. Evans is the best CB we have as of now. I know people don't rate him but whenever Vidic or Rio were out in our title winning seasons, Evans came in and didn't look out of place at all.

Did you feel the same when Ramsey had a very bad season?
Do you feel the same way about Wilshere right now (who IMO has been living on his past reputation rather than actual form)?
Ramsey was, still is, a kid, and he was coming back from a horrific injury. His potential was always there. Cleverley is arguably as good now as he will ever be.
Must be like when you tried to buy Suarez for x amount and a pound.
Cleverly is the pound
Cleverley is overpriced then
Makes sense for Vermaelen though,if you can't get regular football at a top side you need to lower your sights
The only creative genius in this rumour is the person who made it up, but its not really genius either so I should say the only creativeness is the person who made it up.
Rumour Smalling was in the mix as part of any Vermaelen deal.
hard to see which side would be getting a worse deal here!

Never rated cleverly though that's the thing. Wouldn't sell Wilshere, and wouldn't have sold Ramsey at the time of bad form.
rather swap plus cash for Insigne from Napoli, i know Benitez is interested in Vermaelen
Has anyone rated cleverly, ever?
he looked good on loan at Wigan and i remember scoring against City in the community shield a few years back
other than that i'm stumped! awful player, wouodn't look out of plavce at the likes of Sunderland or West Ham
