Before his injury he was always getting pole position or on the podium if I remember correctly. After that he hasn't reached that level.
Is this the 'Ferrari' post martial?????
Of course he was his fastest ever team mate
Brundle got it spot on, the comments are designed to belittle Kimi
His fastest ever team mate was Mr Hamilton. FACT.
Which is why I am amazed anyone took this comment seriously
Yup, I agree with what several of the pundits flagged up, this was a dig at Kimi. Alonso is the master of many things, mind games being one of those things
Also this can't be the fabled Ferrari article, mostly as its not really Ferrari specific, and because the comment is to recent

does alonso need to " belittle kimi " with insignificant chit chat when he is doing it on the track so effectively
You will have to ask Alonso as he's telling fibs now. Even Fisichella was better than Massa

think we can safely say alonso would know who his fastest ever team mate was as opposed to a page out of wikipedia
Well if Alonso said Massa was his fastest team mate and he was beaten by a team mate, a driver Alonso himself says is the fastest on the grid and the facts are indisputable here(I.e. That Hamilton beat him), we can deduce that alonso is lying or is thick.
Take your pick
If Alonso isn't playing mind games then theres some serious logic issues, or maybe not.
Alonso has regularly said Hamilton is fastest, but thats recent so maybe when they were team mates Hamilton wasn't as good. So Alonso was beaten by not the best team mate then slaughtered the best team mate (Massa). So Alonso has improved since 2007 but Hamilton has improved more? Its a tricky tail Alonso is sowing, but after all he's just playing mind games so it doesn't have to make sense.
*before we even move on to what Alonso has said about other drivers
To be fair to Alonso, Hamilton did have the advantage of being a rookie

we can only go by what alonso has said -- think we can safely say that alonso as the drivers and principles choice as the no 1 driver knows every nuance of all his rivals abilities under the different formats he has raced under better than any of us
Why's it so hard to comprehend that Alonso only says things to fit his agenda?
http://www1.skysports.com/f1/news/12474/8402756/fernando-alonso-describes-former-foe-lewis-hamilton-as-the-strongest-driver-in-f1
Granted Hamilton could have improved since 2007, but then we're overthinking a simple mind game
What I don't understand is why he said it, he'll already beating Kimi so to try and rile him will only hurt the team. Why is Alonso trying to hurt Ferrari?
so alonso has a hidden agenda when he praises two former team mates -
-------- interesting
I think Fernando is angling for a move away from Ferrari, his contract is up next year if I'm not mistaken

why would alonso lie and he is certainly not thick -
lets not forget massa also has the capability to be incredibly quick at times as are all the top drivers -
i have been aware of how quick massa can be ever since he was teamed up with schumacher and he was very often quicker than kimi raikk
---- so for me alonso probably has a good point --
Alonso is lying martial. I know you are not a huge fan of facts but the facts are Hamilton was his quickest team mate. So quick, he beat Alonso, anything else is just BS
man unt
what purpose is there for alonso to lie --- it does not serve any useful or logical purpose for alonso to lie --
formula 1 isnt just about 2007 under the dumbed down , traction control , rock hard tyres ,fuel stop format when hamilton and alonso were fairly evenely matched ,
the format and the cars have changed considerably since 2007 and looking at massa"s performances overall since he was teamed up with schumacher in 06 it would not surprise me in the least if he was a little quicker than hamilton and one of the quickest drivers currently out there
-- and would not surprise me in the least if alonso has a good point about massa"s pace irrespective of what or what may not have happened during 07 -
So when Alonso said Hamilton was the strongest driver on the grid and the fastest, was he lying?
man devil
very likely he had a point at the time -- but now he reckons that massa is the quicker out of the two and after rosberg had hamilton in his pocket for 30 laps yesterday he may have a point -
