Having watched Benzema this season (I was interested in how Bale was doing OK?!!!) I have to say I wouldn't mind splashing £35m on him.
His displays at the World Cup so far are also impressive but probably just make him more expensive.
Hes going into his last year of his contract. Surely we could get him for about 25m? Im sure he doesnt want to become a bit part player next season for Madrid.
We aint getting benzema, never happening
So the rumours were true last year about him going to Madrid via Monaco. Great striker Madrid have acquired, one who is better than Benzema and Higuain are/were. May finally have replaced Raul.
Benzema to Arsenal I wouldn't mind. Though having seen him for Madrid over the years he's not world class but certainly someone who can score 25 league goals for us. But this world cup he's been playing out of his skin so price tag may be an issue.
HMIR, what makes you so sure?
50, hes having a blinder at he world cup. His link up play with Giroud is also very good. Gives us an option either playing with Giroud or without. Id be over the moon if we signed him.

Giroud has been having a blinder too. I think some players just tend to play the very best at these tournaments, so always a risk to buy them based on that.
Fair point, but if his contracts down to his last year and Falcao is definitely going to R. Madrid then i see buying Benzema as less of a risk than Balotelli.
Yeah if he doesn't sign a contract then I think he's the best option. Never really thought he'd be realistic due but this Falcao situation changes everything. Though Morata is also looking likely to leave, and they'd definitely want one of the strikers to stay.
M'orons realised Benzema's quality now. Very same guys who are clamouring for him now were mocking him a few months ago.
Ive always been a big fan of his. Just needs to feel like the main man and not a side act. Look at his confidence in the world cup. Superb showings.
Yeh 50 but i cant see Benzema wanting to be the second option. Plus, im sure Madrid would rather sell him on for a good fee than to let him go in Jan or next summer for free.
In no sense is this a good move for Madrid.
Falcao may score more but benzema is te better alround player and creates space and chances for his team mates.
Falcao will never get 50 a year at Madrid as you can't have two players that do that.
Backwards move.
Benzema is staying at madrid he isn't going anywhere for me
Benzema and Higuain did ok. Morata leaving to make a way.
I like both players. But I agree above Morata will now leave. I would bet it's now between Morata and Balotelli now.
Benzema does not have many years left and Balotelli does. But he also does not settle well. Either one would be 2 years at Arsenal. Wouldn't ne surprised if we get Morata now. He looks very good but young and inexperienced. But he will be a long term signing which will appeal more to Wenger.
But if I had to chose it's Balotelli. Will give us more options on the pitch then Benzema.
What's the point discussing about linkup play between Benzema and Giroud? AW hardly plays 2 striker together upfront. Benzema is 27 isnt it? also he blows lot hot and cold. Baletolli is 23 and yet to peak.
If it is to be Benzema then we need a pacey left-winger as well. Draxler would have been perfect. Not sure how realistic Di Maria is. Alexis Sanchez anyone?
Barca won't let him go unless they find suitable replacement. Also there are rumors that they will use Sanchez in Suarez deal.
I said this previously but I would take Benzema over Balotelli given the choice. I know Balo probably has more talent and potential, but the fact that he only turns up every other game (if that) makes him an expensive liability.
Haven't both Monaco and Real Madrid distanced themselves from this move? Falcao is shít anyway, not a big fan of Benzema but Falcao is hardly a big upgrade on him.
Bats Falcao is sh_t ?? are you serious?
What has he actually done in his career? His international record is average. He was crap for Monaco, he has just had a serious injury which we don't know how he will recover from. He's only ever really had one amazing season for Atletico and nobody even knows what his real age is. For £50M or whatever he would cost, I think that would be one of the worst transfers of all time.
41 goals in 51 games at Porto is decent too. Plus most of the people would agree, he is overall good striker and has got good capacity.
Falcao's goal records:
River Plate - 45 in 105
Porto - 72 in 87
Athletico - 70 in 91
Monaco - 11 in 19
total - 199 in 302
Yeah he's rubbish.
I hope he does go to Real Madrid so we can all see him flop at a top club.
