But thanks, there's still money in commercial law. I'd just rather earn less and do something I believe in.

Have you got any experience yet? I was working as an assistant QS last summer.

My biggest issue is working hard. I'm a naturally lazy sort of guy. I'm fine in jobs, it's homework that I can't do hah.

Its all in your mind son, all in your mind, same here, I seem not to find reading especially cases that appetising, but, somebody has to do it and eventually you will get the hang of it. I remember that I wasn't that motivated my first two years in LLB and had some average grades, but somehow I found some resolve in my third and final year and luckily by a whisker ended up with 2:1 and up to now I still don't know how I did that, maybe am genius, but, what I know was I started getting scared of failure and took it on board in final year and the rest is history, that was at UoB, have hope.

My mate's long term girlfriend is at University of Birmingham... I'm at a pretty rubbish uni but that's cause I had an awful year (stuff just kept happening in my personal life) in A2.

I'll see where I'm at when I get my results back, but I suspect that I won't have done very well this year, despite getting pretty good coursework results (mostly firsts).

Is this LLM worth doing? What's it all about? Seeing how I'm interested in working abroad, it seems like something I should know about.

Where are you doing your LPC?

Funnily, I have no much work experience other than academic research which I got paid and have done some teaching, and book review and also some conveyancing etc, maybe one day I see myself teaching.

Well that's pretty good though. What level would you teach at? I reckon college level is scandalously easy.

Don't give up you will eventually get there, never quit unless you want to regret it one day.

I am doing LPC at BCU, cheaper and more convenient for me because am part-time.

LLM is only good if you want to improve your CV and will help if you want to teach one day, but it is irrelevant in UK but very handy abroad. I want to to taste waters in mid-east not Syria, I meant Dubai or Abudhabi or Doha Qatar, they seem to value English education and the money is reasonable if not tasty as some will attest.

Does it not really matter where you do your LPC then? I wanted to be a barrister but that's unrealistic at DMU. Besides, I've come to realise that it's not all it's cracked up to be either.

I don't think I'd be able to abide by the desert. I like green hills and forests and the like. I could live in most of Europe, perhaps not southern Spain or something. Central Europea I could definitely live in. But that's cause I live near Eastbourne, so I'm used to the sea and the downs.

Thanks for the encouragement, it's well appreciated

Is it bad that Land Law doesn't seem as boring as it's meant to be to me?

Nice talking to you Giroudski, hopefully we sign Suarez to ease our pain.

I didn't do adverse possession, but I did do covenants, easements etc.

And that's a relief about my LPC, because DMU do one very cheaply for it's own students. I knew all about the hoops (it's not a BVC anymore, it's a BPTC) and everything and I've realised it's not for me. I can pull off elitist if I try. I have a posh accent and I'm even into classical music, at least some of it.

It was nice talking to you too, good luck for the future.

We really don't want to sign Suarez haha.

Oh, didn't realise you were a law student as well, Dr Huss! In fact, if you're doing LPC, you're quite some way ahead of me, I've just finished second year of undergrad like Giroulski. Nice to have another addition to the club!
