Why are my brilliant comments/articles not rated?

posted on 25/6/14

I often hope people disagree with me. I'm not big headed enough to think I know it all, and most people bring evidence to disagreements which I can often learn from.

I watch F1 for enjoyment, and the debate that comes with it. It's a fascinating sport

When you buck eejits wise up?
MA posts for the sake of argument, nothing more, yet you lot fall for it everytime. He was the same on the old 606.

If it annoys you so much, do what POB does, filter him. Me? I couldn't give a fluck.

He rants and raves all the time. So what?

I'll most likely get both barrels in a mo.
Do I care?

I tried that once Irish but no one else seemed interested so I thought I might as well join the mad house. Naivety tried to a spur some interesting debates

I'm the complete opposite.

Not out of big-headedness though. I often worry that what I post is just moronic drivel so it's nice to see people agree with me cos then I feel like I actually do know what I'm talking about occasionally.

Of course n6 join the the debate, but dont let MA rule it, that let's him win.
He courts controversy for it's sake.

It gets better by the minute.

I try to at least contain Martial Irish, not let things spread to irrelevant threads where possible. If the forum as a whole wants to do something then I'm game for helping

@ N6, Agree with him. Say yes martial, no martial, three bags full martial, then on your next post say what you want to say. <simples>

I think Irishgreen has the best suggestion. When MA starts his usual carp just say "OK MA, whatever" and leave it at that.

Fair enough if that's what we all want. No more new battles from me

Respond by all means, but respond with your tongue firmly in your cheek. That drives him nuts.

INCOMING

posted on 25/6/14

Well he's called me every thing under the sun and threaten to fight me so far and I laughed it off so that shouldn't be too hard Irish

I agree, filtered him last year, gave him a chance again, against my better judgement.

I just make my point and ignore his drivel because it is drivel.

I enjoy the forum and like debating with everyone, especially enjoy controversy and perhaps some conspiracy theories.

Also like learning from those who have watched the sport longer than I have. For example when people were harping on about Seb being great because he won in a torro rosso, POB and WTCBU gave a list of race drivers who had won in the dry in worse cars but never went on to do much.

I enjoy this forum and will not let anyone ruin it for me.

Now I have finished gossiping about some posters on a public forum

I like motogp too and used to own a couple of bikes a Suzuki GSXR and an Aprilia RS 125 before the evil jezebel that is my wife came into my life.

Now I drive a boring saloon car

WTCBU - Me? and intelligent poster! I refute that wholeheartedly!

i am a bit different to others in the sense that i am not really interested in the history to a huge degree. So i try my best not compare eras with eras etc I take others opinions on that and try to compare with my experience. E.g some say senna is the best ever, some may say prost. I then think to myself, well its similiar to Hamilton Vs Alonso. Hamilton would get my vote, because i like his style, his aggression, is undeniable speed. I like that in a driver, so perhaps i would of been a Senna man. However, Alonso, the wiley old craftsman, always seems to get a result of some description, never gets caught being mugged, perhaps more prost like. There is no wrong answer, people should respect peoples views if they are backed up with something, even if its as whimsical as, becuase i like the fella. Kobayashi for me is brilliant, just coz i like the fella. I wont shroud my opinion in some sort of skewed preferential stats that might back me up.

MUDD - i really need to do my bike licence at some point. Nice weather we have had recently. My favourite bike is a bandit. However i dont think i could start on that, what do you recommend to start on bearing in mind im a lets say comfortable with a 12" pizza sized guy. Do i need to learn on a lighter smaller bike? Or would getting a 600cc (obviously detuned for my licence) be ok???

posted on 26/6/14

I would suggest you learn on a Yamaha. The power delivery is smoother and they handle much better. a 125cc should do, when you are comfortable you can get your bandit.

I had the Suzuki a long time ago, they made decent bikes then but the aprilia was a monster to control especially in the wet. Would not recommend it as a first bike

I'll leave him be, he seems happy in his little world so I don't want to ruin it for him. I'll leave him there.

Tried to help him mature into a adult but its fallen on death ears.

Back to ignoring him and chuckling

WTCBU... I know I don't post often or comment (largely due to the, well, how do you guys still call them, WUMs? who have over run this forum) but I am offended that you didn't include me in that list
