sorry just add that bit
So nine international matches and four months from any matches starting from today's date?
They say "any football activity". Does that include Liverpool? Don't really care about this and Uruguay, but obviously it's a boost for us if he's banned for Liverpool for the first couple of months of the season. If not, then it's a little surprising that it's a shorter ban than he was given by the FA last time around.
Hopefully he will appeal and delay the start of the ban...
And then see it extended
someone said we was luckly not be but him and seems they are right now
Gone till November he'll be gone till November
A month of that ban will be in pre-season then or is it starting from August?!?!
Bestie, are you suggesting playing for Liverpool does not come under the phrase "any football activity?

........
wow!
"from any football activity"
does that mean watching live football aswell and training
If Suarez appeals, the ban won't start until the appeal is heard and decided on, which means he misses more of the season + any further punishment.

Just wondering. It is FIFA,
Fifa media relations manager Delia Fischer reads a statement on Luis Suarez: "The player Luis Suarez is suspended for nine matches and banned for four months from any football related activity.
"The Fifa disciplinary committee has decided the player is regarded as having breached article 48 paragraph one and article 57. The player is to be suspended for nine matches, the first is the upcoming match between Uruguay and Colombia on Saturday."
"Suarez ban can be appealed. But appeal won't have any effect on continuing to play at this World Cup. Fifa say he's out."

Fifa media relations manager Delia Fischer reiterates that Luis Suarez's four-month ban means he cannot take part in any football activity during that time.
That means he is unavailable for Liverpool until the start of November. Fischer states she is unsure how the ban affects a potential transfer.
"Suarez must pay fine of 100,000 Swiss francs [about £65,000] - FIFA saying that even if he appeals the ban stands - so he can't play again in this World Cup."
Can Suarez appeal? Just heard that Suarez can only appeal the fine but NOT the ban!
Suarez has got off very lightly - a great player but also a complete
Do you notice how Suarez always manages to finagle a short season for himself
can't even watch football
