Do the maths heisy....

4000 extra seats at £25 is £100,000 extra revenue every game.
Over let's say 20 matches a season (home games plus cup games, friendlies) that's an extra income of £1.8m a season just for those extra seats.
That's £1.8m more than you paid to buy Joleon Lescott and Craig Gardner.

(I even took out 200k to denote the proportion of a share given to the away team when the Steve Bull stand is built).

If we bring in a sponsored name to the stadium in 5 years when most clubs have gone down that path then boom! We're rich.

Pundit. You wouldn't be able to pay a half decent Prem footballer his wages on the revenue gained by 4000 seats and I assume you think Lescott and Gardner will be playing for free?
Gate receipts are a drop in the ocean when trying to compete in the Prem hence why JP has left alone for the time being.

It was done because we saw an opportunity to gain revenue for years to come and it could be funded by a multi-millionaire who made his money in the building trade, so it makes sense really doesn't it.
As for it being stopped rapidly... Well we can't win with you can we?
In your eyes we're silly for building in league one. Then when we follow that line of thinking and we decide to be cautious over phase two of the project you say we have stopped rapidly.
We have never linked the building work with being in the premier league, as you suggest. It was being built regardless - we built it when in the lower divisions.
Molineux is impressive, the stands look great.
We are considerably richer than yow.

1. Morgan assumed Wolves would remain in the Premier League, he counted his chickens and I think he did make a mistake going ahead and spending £30 million on a stand when Mick McCarthy should have bought players to keep you in the Premier League.
2. When you went down, the financial ramifications of not receiving the then-£50 million Sky money sank in and he soon stopped the development.
3. Molineux was a wreck of a ground in the 1980s - was it two or three sides that were closed? - and the ground was rebuilt purely with Sir Jack Hayward's money and his altruism, not out of sustainable income from the football club's activities.
4. Wolves are nowhere near as rich as Albion are. Your chairman is rich. Big difference.

From a yo-yo club that gave birth to the expression, "boing-boing"...

You've been told before what Boing Boing's origins are. Nothing to do with being a yo-yo club. You have a habit of conveniently forgetting things.

Yes, I can see it now. The Asda Car Park Stadium.
We could have a competition - entries on a post card sort of thing.
The Hawthorns could become The Football Ground Opposite What Used To Be Webley and Scott.

The Mol didn't need modernising. It was done because Morgan arrogantly thought Wolves were in the Prem for the long-haul, hence why re-building was stopped rather rapidly.

Gate receipts is dwarfed by Prem League income and it's going to be some time, if ever, before the Dingles get to the Prem if the squad can't be improved. You finished 45th in the league and within a month from last season's end you couldn't score against the teams finishing 67th and 68th in the league.

Doesn't bode well for your future, does it?
