With such a lack of world class talent in the premier league, the gravy train of the tv money will stop

Well it won't.

Leagues run in cycles. England will be back on top in a few years.

It will still be exciting to watch regardless.

so you think tv companies and sponsors will continue to pay big money whilst watching the best talent gravitate to spain?

Nonsense. People will keep paying for their Sky subscriptions with or without Suarez.

It doesn't matter if we have the best players in the world or not. The BPL is far and away the most competetive league in the world. We have 5 teams going into next season who would think they have a chance of the league title.

Those five best players play in two clubs in Spain. Admittedly, Atletico look like breaking the monopoly, but it's difficult to know how long that will last.

At the end of the day, any team in the BPL can beat any other team. The same cannot be said for La Liga. It's the excitement and competitiveness that makes it. Not a few talented individuals.

the worlds top 5 players (ronaldo, messi, suarez, bale and
neymar)
........
should Neymer be in that list?

World's top 5 players are as follows in no particular order:

Messi
Ronaldo
Ramsey
Ozil
Koscielny

Once Suarez leaves, there will be one (possibly two if you count aguero) genuinely world class player left in the league, in the form of yaya.
the worlds top 5 players (ronaldo, messi, suarez, bale and neymar) will all be playing in spain.

If you genuinely think that then football is lost on you.

the premier league is the best not because of the stars it parades but because of it compatitiveness and followership.

When you look at Real Madrids three top players Bale.Ronaldo.Benzema,worth in the region of £250mil,with wages to match maybe that's why world class players are in Spain, its all about the money.

which part do you not agree with?

Spain has been ahead of the Premier League for a while in my opinion, but I still find the Premier League more entertaining.

Even relatively mid-table clubs in Spain fare very well in Europe which is where I think you judge the strength of a league.

Real Madrid are the biggest club in the World- that's why they go there. Manchester United could comfortably have matched any financial deal that Ronaldo could get at Real Madrid for example, I do not doubt that, but the player clearly had his heart set on Madrid.

Arsenal should easily win the league with three of the top 5 players playing for them...

Pretty much all of it.

First of all......the term "World Class" annoys the hell out of me. What does it actually mean anyway? Nobody knows yet they throw it around all the time.

Secondly there are plenty of "world class" players still in the PL. They don't all have to be offensive players either.

Take Zabaleta and Kompany for example. Arguably best two players around in their positions. And I'm a Utd fan.

Hazard, Ozil, Oscar, Mata, RVP are all "world class" too.

The PL will be as good as ever next season. There's nothing wrong with it at all.

I guarantee they will.

The point is that the Premier League may create World Class players, but attracts few that are established; whereas Real Madrid and Barcelona can go out and attract players who are already World Class.

The likes of Kompany and Van Persie were not World Class players when they arrived in England; Ronaldo and Neymar were when they arrived in Spain.

However, for me that's to do more with the two biggest clubs in the World playing in Spain rather than the strength of La Liga as a whole.

no they are not. world class means they would get into any team in the world. the above players would not.
its the likes of yourself that waters down what world class actually means

posted on 5/7/14

What does it matter what world class means anyway? Players that can get in any team in the world, that means a grand total of 11 players. How many footballers are there in the world?

If you honestly think only those 11 are worth watching, you have impossibly high standards.

The PL gravy train will not stop. It is a product that gives everything football fans want. Excitment and upsets each week.

Would I watch any other leagues games outside of the big matches, no.

I would happily watch Stoke v Villa on MNF

Barca and Real have always had the best players in the world. Nothing has changed in that regard and isn't likely to.

Don't see how that will effect the money in the premier league because the money has been increasing not decreasing.
