Wenger won't make more than 3 first team signings. Justifiably so. Look at Spurs.

Debuchy, Sanchez (if it comes off) and a midfielder.

Then back ups in the form of Campbell and a new keeper.

It's probably not what everyone wants but it's not bad business (obviously depeneds of Sanchez comes off or not)

Would love if we got Remy as well, with Campbell as well our attack would be decent. Just need to make sure we get a DM and possibly a CB

I don't think we'll sign a #9 tbh, we'll have added Sanchez and Campbell to our attack from last season. Would prefer an elite #9 as well, but can't complain too much.

Sanchez has got that Aguero/Sanchez aura, he's got the same kind of pitbull build to go with his great technical ability. We might try him at #9 but he'll mostly play wider imo

We still need a centre back or 2 as we can't go into the new season with just 2 centre backs if Vermalean does leave and we ideally need 4 centre backs. We were lucky to get away with having 3 last season but you know what our injuries are like!

If, and it remains a big if, we sign Alexis then I can see the term 'false number 9' becoming popular.
Think we will mix it up, with Giroud starting a fair number of games but also Ozil as the focal point with Alexis and Walcott/Campbell/Ox/whoever coming from wide.
Really cannot see us buying Alexis (or any other similar player) and a striker.
And, yes, Alexis and/or Theo will also surely start through the middle at times.

Would be very interesting and the subject of much debate I am sure.

I honestly don't see the fuss about Campbell, somebody comes in with a £10M+ bid I would snap their hands off.

I was the same but he impressed with in the WC Batmoanu, seems to have good all-round ability, good touch, can beat a man, tidy finisher. We should give him a chance

JC has good technical ability. A loan to a fellow PL club or as a bench player probably his position for now.
As for a striker, think Balotelli was the one till his bad performance in brazil.
No 9 are not in abundance as much as they used to be. All about no 10's now. In Sanchez and Walcott you have two players who can give you 20 goals each from wide positions plus 15 assists each too. Giroud too is a 20 goal getter. Add in Ramsey and the rest and numbers add up.

Campbell has just turned 22, had an impressive season in La Liga, played a big role in Olympiakos winning the Greek League, impressed in his debut CL season with very much an outsider, impressed at the WC with an even bigger outsider.
Yet we shouldnt even give him a chance at Arsenal?

Gnabry needs a loan, Podolski and Cazorla are showing they struggle being bit part players, Walcott and Ix repeatedly find themselves injured, and yet we cannot give our own young player a single season??

Gnabry is a far better prospect than Campbell. Campbell is decent but that's it, he is a jack of all trades player, doesn't excel in anything and will probably never be top class.

Serge is nowhere near ready to be considered a first team squad regular.

Campbell looks RVP mould Wing/striker who can drop back, execute sweet pass..on top of that can run at defenders..Good shots too. He is not hitting the levels yet but he has time on his side. He defo deserves chance and Wenger could work his magic like he did on Henry, RVP..What had they achieved at his age? Anyone dismissing him is plain stupid.

Neither is Campbell.

I wonder if Liverpool would consider selling us Agger...

If we sign Alexis, I'm pretty certain we won't sign another "marquee" attacker. Hopefully, unlike last season, we can keep the likes of Walcott, Podolski and Ox fit for more than half the season and that should improve our attack A LOT. For all the glaring issues in our team, we were 7 points from the top last season. I'm very certain little more luck with injuries would have seen us make a real push at the title.

I also note few are talking about a new CB. We were fortunate on that front last season and it would be beyond stupid to enter another season with 3 first team CB's.

One thing's for sure, I'd be going nuts if I see Sanogo anywhere near our first team next season.

We can not go another transfer window without buying a striker

true dat, we haven't even got sagna to cover at CB anymore.

we either need to sign a RB than can play CB or another CB and keep Vermaelen

From what I've read, the club wants £12M + for TV5. Not sure any club would pay that for a player whom seem to have turned injury prone. I expect him to be an Arsensl player come September 1st

As for our striker, I think Sanchez + Remy is the most realistic option. If we make a big signing, it will be for a midfield player

Luiz was sold to PSG! No other team with common sense would have pay that much for him. Probably not even half

Verm is worth 15m in today's market, he's not a bad defender on his day. All the top defenders have mistakes in them these days, just some more than others.

In a market where 30m is paid for poverty like Ander Herrera, 15m is the least we can expect for Verm
