1. top 6
2. at least 1 good cup run
3. improved style
4. less hammerings
5. evidence of building blocks in place (especially an improved defensive unit)

should we achieve the above then it would be a fairly good season.

what do you mean why?

because I am fed up of us getting smashed 4, 5 and 6 nil.

PL top 5 and at least Europa QFs are realistic expectations.

Top 4 almost impossible I'd say.

Utd (they'll be back, Moyes was such a woefully inadequate man for the job), chelsea, city, liverpool, arsenal, everton, spurs... 7 into 4 does not go.

Agree that 6th is realistic. Now someone tell Levy this so he doesn't end up sacking Poch in 6 months time!!

Pochettino would be well-advised to have his CV up to date around Dec 2015.

Next Season is our season.

It is always our season next season

"It is always our season next season"

Of course, it always helps that you lot never specify exactly what is "ours" next season.

I dont think Everton wil be as strong next year, they have an excellent manager in Martinez but they struck gold in the loan market last season with Lukaku and delfenou (spelling) and one or two others. They dont have big money to spend on players and now those guys have returned to their mother clubs its going to be difficult for them. Man u will definitely challenge again but wont be strong enough to mount a title challenge, i hate to say it but Arsenal will be there in the top four battle.
Liverpool could struggle especially without Suarez and having to mount a champions league challenge (they had no European football last season)

Man city and Chelsea my certainties to finish in the top two.

I predict -

Man City
Chelsea
Man u
Arsenal
Spurs
Liverpool
Everton

Agree with the OP, apart from signing a centre mid!

Realistically I think 5th is about right but we could upset a few teams - we've got a big squad and used right we could go far

Injuries will play a part in who finishes where, Spurs had the worst injury list in Europe last season and so law of averages says we are due a less injury hit season for a change, likewise some other clubs are due for a change of luck re injuries
