He is certainly a marked improvement on what Manchester United already have- and the players they can buy without Champions League football are limited- so I think given that it is an area they need to urgently improve.

I even think Vidal may be unrealistic for United at this time. Out of the realistic players they can purchase this summer, who do you genuinely think they can get in that area better than Vidal?

Thoughts on the Sanchez signing Sheriff? You were adamant we wouldn't get him, now that we have, do you think he's a League 2 player?

Vidal won't go Utd anyway Kam.

*urgently improve...it'd be a great signing.

Sorry I'm fasting, no bite yet.

Vidal is a box-to-box workhorse with little ability. He's pretty useless going forward, doesn't create anything, doesn't have ball retention skills, average touch etc, very limited technical ability.

He's good a good engine and is good physically, but ultimately a 10m player.

Who should they sign then that they could realistically get? Who can they realistically get better than Vidal?

I think if nothing else his presence in the midfield will be a huge boost for Utd. I always think that the top teams should have someone who makes you know you've been in a game afterwards regardless of score. He might not be the best passer of the ball but he seems to have a knack of timing his runs forward well and can get goals. Think him and Herrera (from the sounds of him, not really seen much of him) would be a good partnership on paper.

Dozens of players. Hernanes would be a great buy, only recently joined Inter but he wouldn't cost anymore than 14-16m I'd imagine. Good defensively, class technically, can play under pressure unlike Vidal, he can feint/pivot under pressure.

Talking of Hernanes hope he starts tomorrow. Best Brazilian midfielder

Check out how many goals he's scored from open play he's a penalty merchant.

Herrera - Vidal will struggle massively, they offer fack all offensively. But that's not a problem, LVG is allergic to offence.

Doubt he will, Scolari is a spas.tic, he's obsessed with Paulinho, a player who makes Vidal look like Iniesta.

Didn't pick one of the best LBs in the world in Luis, didn't pick Moura and keeps facking playing Fred.

Pivot y'know. This isn't boxing you pleb. Haha

Scolari got what he deserved after the shocking team he's been putting out.

Judging by how he's set his sides up this WC the pairing would make sense. Vidal can get up and down quickly while Herrera can pick a pass to start a counter.

Pivot isn't a term only used in boxing. Top CMs know how to feint and pivot under pressure, Pirlo is a master at it

Borezil don't like to play talented players. Dross like Fred, Ramires and Paulinho will feature.

The only thing Herrera can pick is his nose. If you haven't seen him play, check him out on youtube, he won't even impress you on there

So glad Brazil got smacked out in the fashion that they did.
Full of wrestlers and grafters with no creativity and invention.
Neymar is quality. But the fact that they pinned their hopes solely on his speaks volumes for itself. From Ronaldo, Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho to Neymar. Big step down in class.

None of the big teams impressed me tbh, Mexico and Colombia were my favourite teams from this WC, wish they got further. They played some real good stuff.
