True, but that's probably because our deal was negotiated in 2001 or 2002...

You forget how long we had that deal in place my good fellow.

Warrior paid over the odds because they wanted a presence in the prem. No one else was willing to spend that much on you guys. This is not 1990

Yeah, the Guardian article does state there is potential to earn £50m a year, but then the Utd statement says;

" for a minimum guarantee of GBP 750 million"

im not saying you are worried or should be, my point was its over 10 years, so Adidas might get the better deal out of it. Say if an EPL club gets 100m a year in the next fear years Man Utd cant negotiate for higher until their current one runs out in 8 years or so. If Adidas were smart theyd but some clause in based on Utds success so they can cut it short if Utd fail.

I doubt it will be beaten until 6-8 years in to the deal to be honest. At least,t hat's what we saw with the last one.

Its a sign how the mighty have fallen though, Utd have pretty much always blown us out the water on the commercial side. Its only now they use it as a stick to beat us with

Adidas currently pay Real Madrid £30m a season. I can't see the deal being eclipsed by another PL club anytime soon.

Aren't City with Nike and Chelsea with Adidas for some time to come?

posted on 14/7/14

Of course it is a privilege for Adidas to be associated with a club like Manchester United, they will benefit immensely.

I am more than happy for other clubs in the prem to break the record as it would help us when a new kit deal is negotiated.

It would be a challenge though as we are the biggest brand in the prem with the largest global fanbase. All these things are taken into account, which is why warrior are paying you the money Nike offered us a decade ago

Yes, Madrid will want, and get similar. So will Barca.

Man City and Chelsea will not, not within this decade anyway. You guys broker our last sponsor record in England, and that was 8 years into a 10 year deal.

Adidas could well regret this move, if they do, no other sponsor will go near these types of sums

And WTF is wrong with your reply button?

sory guys, i forgot to mention, we'll also recieve around 50 million a year from Chevy, taking out yearly income from adidas and chevy to around 125 a season ( give or take)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You should make a trophy for that also. Use the two trophies to soften the blow of a midtable finish, again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
sorry TOOR,

i cant take you seriously anymore since you said that walking into a pub and saying "give me a drink black man" was the norm
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah you've said that around ten times now but still have never been able to prove it. It's quite pathetic when you make things up, especially of that nature.

Madrid, Barca and maybe Bayern Munich next kit deals will be around the same as this one. I can't see another Premier League team matching this for a while.

TOOR, we ALL remember that comment. I was a part of the debate at the time.

Your argument was that calling him a black man isn't racist, because he is a black man.

But if you called him a black ******** then it is racist.

Unfortunately for you, my memory is very good
