Why bother correcting a simple typo when the standard of education in Liverpool is so rubbish that it will go largely unnoticed. My point was made and that is enough.

It's not a typo. E and A are not next to each other on the keyboard.

Germany had no star players and look what happened. You need to play as a team not as individuals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Come again? Muller, Schweinsteiger, Lahm, and to a lesser extent Klose are all star players. They won the World Cup because they had a team of stars, rather than just one amongst average players.
You got to laugh when people say Germany had no star players.
One of the best GK / CB / FB / 3 MF in world football and so many people say they have no star players?

God, it was a typo. Let it go.
squads alot better, strongest 11 isnt
£8m bid for Davies rejected say the Times and Telegraph. James Pearce says we want Bertrand too.
We lost Rushie in 1987, the best striker in Europe.
By investing the fee wisely in Barnesy, Beardsley & Aldo, Kenny took the team to a new level
llori
Actually agree your squad is much stronger but starting 11 is weaker.
In saying that I would think you might have a CB and striker on the way so depending on who these 2 are your starting 11 May we'll be stronger.
Thing I would be concerned about is how many changes Rodgers makes to your starting 11. As we saw last year with us and previous years with other teams , to many changes to your starting 11 May well result in a step back.
Even if your 11 and squad look stronger on paper.
WHL, I think our starting 11 will be largely the same. We've been buying for depth rather than to entirely overhaul the first team. Enrique may be like a new player, depending on how fit he is. Many of our players are young, and therefore will be used carefully. Lallana and Lambert already know the core of the squad. The transition shouldn't be as drastic as yours last year.
Best starting eleven in my opinion from players we had last season:-
------------------------------Mignolet----------------------------
Johnson-----------Skrtel--------------Agger--------Enrique
--------------------------------Gerrard----------------------------
-------------------Henderson---------------------Coutinho
-----------------------------------Sterling-------------------------
------------------------Sturridge---------------Suarez---------
Best this season:-
--------------------------------Mignolet----------------------------
Johnson-------------Skrtel-------------Sakho---------Enrique
----------------------------------Gerrard---------------------------
------------------------Henderson--------Lallana---------------
----------Sterling--------------------------Coutinho/Markovic
-----------------------------------Sturridge-------------------------
Not too much difference in the starting eleven for me. Losing Suarez is obviously a blow but the players coming in won't make it that noticeable, in terms of the team play. In fact as a team we should perform better. Not only that but Sakho and Mignolet aren't in their first season any longer, Coutinho and Sterling have an extra season under their belt and we have Markovic, Coutinho, Lallana and Sterling as options instead of those two plus Moses. We also have the option of playing Lambert in games where it's needed. Enrique is back, giving us much needed balance down the left which wasn't lost much in a defensive sense but a lot in an attacking sense. Plus we're not finished yet!
For me the first eleven is stronger and more balanced and the squad is much much stronger. Individually you can't replace Suarez but as a whole, you can.
I'm not sure I'm comfortable with Skrtel as our first choice. Hes a good defender, and useful from set pieces, but hes never had a partner who consistently plays well alongside him. It seems his body on the line, Captain Madface routine can leave his partner exposed.
I like him as a defender, but I'm not sure how well he works as part of a unit.

I don't like him as a defender. He gives at least one real chance to the opposition, due to a mistake, virtually every game. We can't afford that. Skrtel is a liability. It's a shame, as he has a fantastic attitude...

True and we only had Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho and Sterling who had that bit of individuality which broke teams down or got a goal, besides Gerarrd's fantastic set pieces last season and absolutely nothing off the bench.
Next season, thus far, we have Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho, Markovic, Lallana and Lambert, giving us more players which can grab the goals and options off the bench.
As I said, it looks like everything is much stronger to me. I said it when Dalglish was manager that Suarez doesn't allow the team to play to its full potential and whilst Rodgers found a way for it to work better and also Suarez got better in terms of being a team player, I still feel as a team we can be much better.
It still remains to be seen but I'm fairly confident it will work out better for us.
Klose a star player? Have a word with yourself. Was class a few years ago. Certainly not a star now. But I agree with your sentiment. Spot on.
Wrote us off with Suarez last season, are talking themselves around to writing us off next season without Suarez.
Only goes to prove these people mostly have no clue.
Last year Mourinho was saying Liverpool won't challenge for the title because our squad was nowhere near strong enough, when it became apparent we were going to challenge, he changed horses mid race, and decided we would challenge, but only because of no European football, which obviously became the the mantra for all the detractors who got their earlier predictions regarding Liverpool's season completely wrong.
We will have a stronger squad this season, we will play the same attractive dynamic attacking football, we still have the leagues top scorer, and will certainly bring more players in.
Give these jokers another 3 months and they will be scrambling around looking for this seasons version of 'no European football' to try and explain away why Liverpool are yet again doing so well.
That is unless they don't all die of fatigue after playing a mind boggling 6, 7, or maybe even 8 extra games over a 9 month period.
