I am always staggered at the stupidity of most English people who are not aware that The Catholic Church is the largest Christian society in the World.

Everton fans said Moyes was God
I've seen him so he exists
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Going off last season, Moyes is most likely Lucifer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Last season i was starting to believe he Moyes was God, he was granting all my wishes
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All your wishes are about United?
Wow
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ha ha
Got me there
Come on,i wished for Liverpools rise and Man United demise
Long live God (Moyes)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I prefer a competitive Liverpool.Always have
The United Liverpool game is the biggest on the calender. I'd rather them be at the top with United. makes winning sweeter knowing you have beaten a very competitive main rival to the top
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm with you on that but last season gave us Liverpool fans more banter than we have had for 25 years
Give us a break, you've had the upper hand for quarter of a century
Nothing quite like the Liverpool,Man Utd rivalry
Long may it continue
Catholicism = Man Utd
Protestantism = FC Utd of Manchester

I am a scientist, respect all schools of thought, think most religion is BS.
I do however believe in the existence of God. There is too much order to the chaos to suggest otherwise.

But when you have 99.9% of scientists all agreeing that the Earth was not created in seven days by an alien, suggest there may be some truth to it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd like to think it probably meant stages of earth creation rather than days.. A creator wouldn't need 7 days to create earth.
nearly 99% of what was said about the universe and its creation in holy books have being proven to be false without any doubt. Its hard to argue that there is a god when almost all religions were wrong about other facts regarding universe and its creation.
I havnt read the thread. Just because science cannot prove for certain that something doesnt exist, does not mean it exist, Anyone heard of the flying spaghetti monster?
f you don't want a divided society based on culture or religion, then fúcking teach children about all the different religions and cultures so they grow up in an open minded way.

They do now
A couple of weeks ago, he went on a trip to a Hindu temple for example.
Protestantism is a breakaway sect of Christianity created (i think) by Martin Luther(?) due to dissatisfaction with the Catholic church.
That may be a load of bóllocks though.
"But when you have 99.9% of scientists all agreeing that the Earth was not created in seven days by an alien, suggest there may be some truth to it?"

You're aware that the term 'days' isn't meant to mean individual time spans of 24 hours, right?

Just because something is accepted by everyone does not make it 100% correct.
Just as an example - 99% of people use to think the world was flat, until someone disproved it.
That's not to say I believe it was created in 7 days, I don't. I just don't think anyone, really, should deal in absolutes.
For example - recently there was an episode of QI, where they covered the half life of facts, where they talked about how some 'facts' that they gave out in the previous 7 years or so, were no longer true. Same thing happens with most scientific theories, if over a longer time period.

The problem a lot of people have is that they use ramblings captured in scripture as the basis for them dismissing a creator.
The odds for the earth being created via a series of random events are steeper than the odds for winning the lottery

Yet there are billions of earth like planets all over the universe
The odds of winning the lottery, in the context of the size of the universe, is absolutely nothing!

People need to stop associating creation of this world with religion. Religion is a man made construct designed to control people.
Put it aside and ask yourself, why did this nothing become something and why did this something become what we are today?
The more I study the planet, the more it points to a maker.
Ignore religious BS, even the science points to a creator
