there is promise...its the whole...can he develop a 'football brain' thing for me....to blind alleys...or just shoot from wherever....

if he can start picking his head up....and picking the right ball...i see a future for him at spurs.

1. We'll see. I can see him being an impact sub but that left wing spot is an open competition so we'll see.

2. No. If he did play I would put him on the left wing.

3. As you said, he needs to make better decisions and also look for the intelligent pass before just putting his head down and running.

4. I think he can improve and be a strong squad player if he picks up MoPo's system.

5. Very much depends on this season. If he improves his consistency then yes.

Surprised no one has critised the new kit. It's not great.

I criticised it when it came out because of all the red, and got immediately told I was being silly, so there we go.

I never buy replica kits anyway so I don't really care

I can see Townsend making the first X1. If we play 4231 I could see

Sandro Dembele
Lamela Eriksen Townsend
Ade

I think Townsend has a lot of good attributes and a coach like Pochettino could develop him. I'm hoping he comes on the way Sterling has under Rodgers.

Only just looked. The home kit looks a bit...cheap. I quite like the away kit though

chadli should start on the left as things stand.

I actually feel that being part of the ITV pundit team for the world cup may help his development, certainly decision making wise. He's sure to have picked up useful tips etc from people like Hoddle, Strachan (if you can understand him) etc. Obviously its not going to turn him into a superstar but it can't have hurt.

1. Could be, on either wing
2. depends how he is in training.. swapping wings
3. Decision making.
4. make our break for him, reckon he'll do ok
5. I think he could, it's up to him

Andros Townsend hasn't got a footballing brain. Couldn't even get in the World Cup team when Walcott was injured.

"Last year was really his breakthrough year at Spurs. Had a couple of devastating performances, particularly against Villa away"
