Will Sanchez Be Effective Up Front?

Sanchez will almost certainly be deployed up front at times this season. He has all the attributes to succeed there, and has played there plenty before both at club level and for Chile. I certainly think there are some parallels with Aguero - tricky and quick, deceptively strong and hard working and good technical players. S

There were times last season when Giroud was dropped for SANOGO think about that

Definitely Anyone But Giroud. Can't believe the team's been burdened with this guy.
I think some Gooner are forgetting just how bad he is.

think hes best just off the front, needs a player up there with him IMO, brilliant player though, awesome signing

I think Ozil playing behind Sanchez will prove deadly

Yeah Mexican. That's where I see him too. But that other player will most probably be the French lamppost. God help us.

Bit harsh that you are ignoring Nicklas Bendtner.

Bats
Absolutely not. What a terrible idea.

Bendtner is gone. Maybe your joke of a club (Wolverhampton) should sign him.
He'd be your Messi. A legend for you guys.

Nah, not good enough for us, similar to Chamakh and Giroud.
You still keen to sign Doyle of us, you can have him for free

people think him standing near the centre circle heading balls from goal kicks counts as "great build up play"

Forgotten his back heel that set up Rambo to break our trophy duck have we? Giroud is certainly far from world class but some the criticisms are OTT

That was a blatant fluke. Ramsey was sharp to read that miscontrol by the donkey.

I pulled a dummy the weekend, and also a flicked backheel that both led to goals, plus scored one..........i still get criticised, annoying as feck how us strikers get no respect.

Common now Dubbed; that's ridiculous . Giroud meant the pass. Indeed his flicks, when they come off are often spectacular .

I think a side of this could be deadly:

Arteta
Ramsey---Ox
Ozil
Walcott--Sanchez

Flick, flick, flick, flick. Guy plays like a fairy.

Dubbed, all we can do is put faith that Sanchez can do it there.

From what I have seen he can, that's why I found it hard to think of him like Hazard.

Sanchez will have to try and play like Tevez and Aguero and to lesser extent Suarez (who is 5'11" ).

Augero can play up top at 5'8" because he is actually quite strong and his touch is very good.

This is why theo at 5'9" will struggle or at least make the team struggle in a CF. His hold up play control of the ball will be lacking.

As for Giroud, less said the better.

I know Wenger said no more forward players but I still wouldn't put it past him to sign someone. He seemed to imply that deals can take longer in the transfer window due to players not being available. PSG can't sign Di Maria because of FFP and need to get rid of Cavani.

Maybe we'll sign him...
