IDK mate, I have watched the guy a lot especially last season and really he is pretty average. Terrible first touch and not exactly the most mobile CF you will find around so I don't really think he is worth the 20m+ they are asking for him. If Benzema or someone of his quality was available, I would want us to snap him up ASAP.

I also don't think he should be our first choice CF which he won't (Sanchez will) but there aren't too many options out there unfortunately.

Disagree. Bony though not marquee is certainly not average. Stronger, quicker than Giroud and shoots with both feet from outside the box- something our strikers seldom do.
Only downside is the disruption of the ACON.

No, I am 100% certain it was you. It was on the la liga thread when reports were out that we had made a 13m offer for Casillas. Funny enough it wasn't that you didn't want him but you felt 13m was too little.
Benzema, Balotelli, Cavani are players in the upper bracket that we could have had a punt at. Bony, Martinez, Remy, Morata are players we could have gone for to genuinely share the CF burden with Giroud whilst not displacing him from the team.
As it stands and the way it will now stay is Sanogo remains Giroud's only natural competition.

Negredo would be great for us but I don't think City are stupid enough to sell him to us. I rate the guy really highly!
About Remy what exactly is the point of signing him? His best games for Newcastle were when he was on the left. He isn't a natural CF. We have Walcott and Podolski who are also players of the same ilk and are actually better than him so why on earth would we sign him. Would make absolutely no sense!
