Haha, that's exactly how hers was! Nice view of a car on bricks on the other side if the road too, just to top it off.

Rider road, so I'm told.

My Mrs used to live around the Hyde Park pub when she was at Uni in Leeds, used to be a gang in the area causing trouble and her car got broken into one night then they ripped off the steering wheel.

I see a fair bit of outer estates around Leicester due to the wife's family and all of those aren't bad. I don't honestly know that much about the centre though as only been there fleetingly

It was a nightmare October/November time. I remember actually having to jump out of the way of fireworks being fired down the street, more than once!

Yeh it wasn't the best, would have been about 11-12 years ago she was last there and I used to stay there a bit.

The pub was OK though, used to have a cheap beer night

9 years for me, and the cheap night was Wednesdays.

I recon is was a gang around there, they used to regularly harass students and people around there of a different background to them

I think it was the weaker Carlsberg strengthened lager, but still could get sufficiently plastered if had a bit of wine before go out. It was a bit strange being back amongst students 6+ years after Uni and the funny thing was the music had hardly changed, largely the same track

"I see you Nottingham chaps have a difficulty answering the important questions...?"

Does God exist? No.
What is the meaning of life? No meaning, just a fluke.
Will we ever travel faster than light? No.
Why do people act like *****? Because they can.
Will we ever cure cancer? Yes. But not in our lifetimes.
Will humans eventually destroy themselves? Yes, but Earth will survive.

Hope they are important enough for you Eric.

He'd feel at home.

Asking a Nottingham Forest fan about anything football is always going to be above their heads.

Living in Mansfield I wouldn't know what it's like living in such run down, forgotten & deprived areas surrounded by the socially inept, and gives me the right to look down on all other areas of the country beCause Mansfield is so clean and tidy and free of scrotes.

---------

Mansfield is a dump, every other shop is a poundland,, bookies, charity shop or cash converter/pawn broker.
It is the armpit of Nottinghamshire; I know I work there

I went to Mansfield once, they had a Festival of Litter. It was in full swing.

Just to be sure, you are aware that my comment was 100% sarcasm, right?
