Santi Cazorla is Surplus!

Should definitely cash in providing we get a good offer around 18-20m, easily replaceable

He was poor last year as he was played out of position. When he played centrally (which was only briefly once or twice) he looked better and I cant remember which one now but there was one game when he went central and Ozil moved wide and we looked far better as a result of it..

Not saying Im against selling if we get better, but don't write him off.

What does he offer ffs, I rate Diaby because he can singlehandedly break teams. but Santi can't hit a barn door, he only scores when we are on top.

Many fans are in love with him for a reason. Santi is one of our best players. We would be foolish to wave goodbye to a player of his quality.

Why is he on a downward spiral? No he isn't. Are you just referring to his age? I think he is the type of player that will go on for a while and by that logic, Koscielny is on a downward spiral.

Are you actually questioning what Cazorla offers? How about vision, close control, balance, passing, switching the play, assists, goals, work rate, tracking back, long shots.

Might as well sell everyone and buy Melo, Samba and Soldado

Cazorla playing on the left is not out of position, nonsense he's played left wing 3/4 of his career

Tacking Back, Vision, assists, long shots He can be replaced easily, Coutinho of Liverpool is streets ahead of Carzola, I like his attitude but don't see what he offers, close control ma mia, are we on a mission to moon with NASA?

Yeah, like in the FA Cup Final....

Anyway, I struggle to agree with fans who have this supposed insight on a player and still can't even spell his surname right after he's been here for 2 years..

And most teams can break Diaby which is why we cant rely on him.

Santi's only bad run of form came after returning from injury. Other than that he's been consistently brilliant. Whereas Diaby has had five good games in as many years. Some people could say that we should cut Diaby some slack because he's always returning from injury. But if you think that, you'd have to think the same of Santi. You seem like the kind of guy who judges a player based on his last game.

The fundamental problem is you don't know what he offers. Whilst his form last year wasn't as good as his breakthrough year, he's had to adapt his game a little to accommodate Özil. Niggling injuries didn't help either.

But here's a snippet from last season of what he brings to the team, for you:

Are you kidding? Wow you must be one of those idiotic, reactionary fans. I'm speechless.

He is known for his playmaking, vision, passing etc and all of that = assists if the striker is any good. His long shots cause a fair bit of trouble, occasionally they come off, and some don't cause any trouble, but he is one of few players who has the skill, and thus the confidence to try it as often as he does. And if you don't believe me on his tracking back, there are endless compilation videos that demonstrate his tendency do this, to hassle opponents and make tackles.

I get the feeling that you are more interested in making faces than making a point. Anyone who cannot see what Cazorla offers is lacking in the most basic of football knowledge.

And he is better than Coutinho. Coutinho may go on to be better than him, but he is yet to reach Santi's level.

Having just watched that compilation video I can't believe I didn't mention his quick feet/all round general nifty footwork.

no way should we sell him

if we've kept diaby all this time for sheit all then santi should be kept simply for his fk in the final

We need upgrading of the Spaniards, we have poor Spanish players compared to Silva, Santi just flatters to deceive, we need more dominating player not a trick pony

Also people keep pointing out that he carried us in 2012/13 but that is simply not true. He disappeared after Christmas and we have to thank the heavens for keeping Rosicky fit for that run in because there is no way we would have gotten 4th place that year without him.
