Tbh I think I prefer strootman anyway

He's younger, van Gaal knows exactly how to use him, he'd cost half the price (maybe a tad more), Dutch players tend to do well in the Prem

You can tell by the body language that he wants the guy to píss off. What's he gonna say "Ahh yea, hopefully I can get a mega bucks deal, if not, i'll stay".

This is what was asked and what he replied. The quotes doesn't close the door on a transfer but tbf it doesn't open one either. I think we expressed interest and that was that. He's this years Ozil/Sneijder/Thiago etc.

I'd rather believe the Daily Star and The Sun on United's transfer rumours than untrustworthy unknown media outlets. There's nothing worse than a newspaper telling bull5hit stories just to try to sell more copies.
