Why not bring him back,he could greatly assist the whole squad all round, with his experience and general demeanour .On a reduced contract (of course )he would jump at the chance to come back to where his home and his heart is ,there are miles in the old Drog yet !
Madness, this club needs to move forwards not backwards.
Leave the club scoring the winning penno in the CL final, scoring 200 PL goals,
That;s the way you leave the PL, stupid to go back
Maybe bringing Drogba back was a brilliant ploy to encourage Torres to leave. I'm pretty sure Torres hated Drogba when he was here last time. Torres was bought as our first team striker, and ended up second fiddle to Drogba. He made it clear that in spite of winning a CL medal with Chelsea he didn't consider it his achievement. I can only imagine how he feels now that Drogba has been brought back! Does that make him 3rd choice striker?
The only reason Torres is still at Chelsea is because he is being paid so much, and no other team can afford his wages. Maybe this will be the final straw - and Torres would be prepared to reduce his wages in order to be a first team striker somewhere else. Or maybe I'm just dreaming.
My honest opinion is that Costa will be first team striker. Torres will start in the games that Costa does not. And Drogba will come on as a sub with 15-20 minutes to go in a few games. Lukaku will soil himself at the number of strikers ahead of him in line, and will leave (either on loan or permanently).
