And thanks to Gove's latest pet project, we'll have such schools for each religion.
--------------------------------------
All 'religious' schools should be banned. We need more diversification not segregation. I went to a C of E school in the late 80's, full of pupils from all creed, colours and religions, and religion was never really part of the school day. In fact at the final 'Christmas Nativity' I did, I played Robin Hood!

The I R A committed some horrible atrocities during the troubles in Northern Ireland (as did both sides). The British Government did some terrible things too (Bloody Sunday, internment, Gilford, Birmingham 6,etc..) but not once did they consider bombing or blowing up towns, cities, schools, hospitals, etc……unlike Israel
____________
err, yes they did. A hotel in Brighton, the Hilton in Park Lane (which I very narrowly missed back in the 70s) a shopping centre in Manchester.... the town of Eniskillen - the list goes on.

If Britain were close to getting invaded or regularly got told that they would get wiped off the map, then maybe they'd defend themselves more aggressively.
That's not to say Israel are right. Their government is selfish and only cares about itself/survival in government. I don't think politicians should have the power to command/order for people to get killed.

Saying it doesn't make it a fact.. People (politicians mostly) say things to appease the mass, doesn't really mean it's true. Oppression of people doesn't always mean apartheid. Apartheid was a false idea based on racial discrimination..
I am an atheist, my problem with fundamentalism of all kinds is the intolerance that these people have for others because of their faith or gender.
And the problem is simple, two fundamentally opposite views that cannot be solved by bombs but by a change in the bigoted beliefs of fundamentalist Muslims.
It doesn't really matter who started it, or how it came about. Right minded people just want the extremists to pull their necks in and get along.
I am all for people overthrowing repressive dictatorial regimes, but not if that puts fundamentalists in control who want us all to believe in their version of faith and morals and if we don't, then off with our heads.

In South Africa it may have been race related but the true meaning is a state being apart. This is what Israel have done. They created the world largest concentration camp in Gaza.
