Good shout, I think we have a few "stars" already, improving the squad players is just as important.

I don't really like Blind though.....had a good couple of games at the WC then didn't really shine.

And I meant the idea of a squad player who can cover multiple positions and do a good job. Unlike the squad players we currently have
I thought you already had that in Valencia.
No, Valencia is both useless and has about as inversatile as you can possibly imagine.
You already have too many players who play mulitiple positions...
Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Shaw, Fellaini, Carrick, Fletcher, Kagawa, Young, Rooney

we dont though, and thats the problem.
Blind fo example can cover 3 positions and be as good in each one, the players youve listed above, other than maybe the odd one are played in positions that they are nowhere near as competent in, and thats the big difference.

We need a couple of players who can effectively play 2/3 positions without dropping in quality. None of those players mentioned can do that.
Why don't you just buy two specialist players for every position like City and Chelsea?

Why don't you just buy two specialist players for every position like City and Chelsea?

1) LVG doesn't use the same tactic throughout a single game, never mind a full season. So versatility is important.
2) We have a lot of players to get rid of.
3) We have no CL football to think of this season.
4) We'd have to spend around £200m.
