What will they give us... 0.1% of the wages and a snickers as a loan fee?
First team experience to the players loaned to them. Usually clubs which are feeder clubs don't pay the wages or loan fees (I could be wrong about that though).
You may be right there.
Getting the right loan move for the player is the most important thing really, our youngsters progressing is worth more than a portion of their bills...
Although given the dramatic turnover of players at Blackpool wouldn't we be better looking for a more settled environment to send our players to. The successful loans I can think of have usually been to clubs that were fairly steady at the time. WBA Lukaku, Wigan Cleverly, Bolton Sturridge and Wilshere...
I'd also say that the loans that were successful have been where the player has been used in the first 11 more often (looking by the ones you listed). Blackpool could probably loan 4 players from us and if they are guarantee to play in the first 11 that would be better for both. They have players on a 'free' for a season and we get younger players getting experienced. But it is hard to guarantee anything in such an environment.
Well I think at the more stable club it is more likely, not many bad examples but I am thinking Rossi to Newcastle the season they got relegated and did we loan Macheda to QPR at some point? (though his lack of talent probably didn't help!)
In both those cases they were not used as first choice options. In the latter, it was a bad move, especially since they signed other strikers (think they had 4 already and sacked the coach that loaned him. Rossi wasn't used often because of his build and again, it was the wrong move. Their system didn't really suit someone like him in their team. I do agree some stability is needed, but most important is how much first team action they will get. It's why we should always loan out players with a bring back option.
Yeah that is true no point sending a player to some great stable club where they have significantly better options available in the position our player plays. Just think we can take any assurances of playing time more seriously at a more stable club.
Call back is always a good idea but we can only really pull a player out of one bad loan, isn't there something like a 3 club limit in a season?
With one being the parent club if you get the first loan wrong then the second one has to be right because there cannot be another one.
Fack that. Huddersfield is closer
Its not a bad shout at all. Pick out 4 or 5 of the best young lads and send them all out together. They should be more settled as a group and it would be great for their development.
We could also probably send a few of our lads out on loan to Southampton this season.

PL clubs can only loan 1 player from another PL club.

Ah ok. Well, maybe see if they want Powell?
What level do we think our guys will be going to this year?
The like of Powell, Keane, Lingaard... if their not making our squad then I would hope these guys can get premiership loans.
