That's so much more like it! Great to see McCoist having confidence in the younger players. First time I've seen Perry playin and he looked pretty assured, as did the whole team really. It looked like they had played together for a long time which is really refreshing.
Good solid team performance!
Played like champions today against a good Motherwell side. Ally needs to realise that Edu should be nowhere near a Rangers team. I have a feeling though that he will be the first name on the team sheet on Thursday
good display especially after the euro tie on thursday, i was impressed by Motherwell at times they played the ball around really well...It wont be long before our neighbours start the accussations though which is a pity....
lol who really cares what they think...
happy with todays result, bit of balance in the midfield (finally!) and worked our socks off. Only criticism from me would be our lack of possession football, seemed happy to sit back n break when we could and should be matching 'well for passing, etc. Apart from that, good performance, night and day from thursday.
good to see ortiz in his natural position, different player today, looked comfortable on the ball, chased back and went looking for the ball too. Perry, McMillan looked assured, and was good to see kerkar/fleck get a run out
Rfc - I thought Motherwell played a decent game too oddly enough, at least in an attacking sense, very entertaining game.
It will be harsh on them but pretty sure ally will drop the young defenders on Thursday if any of the more experienced players are fit. If he drops wylde though after that I will be seriously peeved. Would hope to see Naismith stay at centre mid after that too!
I know he didnt get long, but from what i saw, Kerkar didn't look out of place which was good. Had some nice touches.
We really need to offer wylde an improved contract, and quickly.
We all feel much better after that...........and the celts are one down.
Playing people in position and giving young legs a chance, with Edu out of the way,and see what happens.
Let us have a real go at Moribor and get the pride back at Rangers FC.

dont think edu woud have affected the result today tbh. As iv always said, jig is the weak link in there. edu can play well in the middle with davis, yet jig in there with either, we slow right down.
broxy
id be surprised (and gutted) if we werent taking a detour on the way back from motherwell to get wyldes contract sorted 2day
I think edu is unfairly targeted, however after Naismith in the middle today we cannot drop him surely!
Ps: We are top of the league
Naismith is suspended for Thursday I think edu will be straight back in no doubt.
Hopefully Wilde gets a start but with Edu back and possibly McCulloch it'll be back to the usual with Davis right Ortiz left big mistake in my opinion. McMilllan may get a shout for Thursday thought he done really well today
I think if Naismith is suspended, then he will just play Edu there. I'm sure he will keppe everything else the same.
The way we went to a midfield 5 without the ball and the way we defended seemed to me to be a practice game for Thursday.
I also hear McCoist interview after and he sounded giddy, as if he's just cracked it. He never said as much though, just said only 3 points etc.
CGCM I'm hoping he does keep it much the same.
Perry done well but Bocanegra will certainly be back I would imagine.
The 2 boys in defence have obviously played with each other quite a bit so you just wonder if it would effect their performance if either played alongside someone that had just came in.
With Naisy out and Edu back surely we can still play Wylde left and Ortiz right. What about McKay as a midfielder in the near future,or is he cover?
Today's defence looked good and hope McMillan gets a run alongside Perry or Bocanegra.Goian and Wallace add experience and power.
Ally may have cracked it,by chance or planning........who cares Bears.
Not seen anything of McKay to make a call to be honest but my feeling is he will be cover. Ness has really impressed me and I would imagine he'll be in more often than not if he can stay fit, which seems to have been a bit of a problem with him.
Long may we continue producing these guys and hopefully McCoist see's fit to play them more often.
Wotsit
I forgot about Ness, fool that I am,as the lad is out so often. We have some decent young guns around and I pray Ally let's them loose on the SPL and Mirabor.
Pace and skill have been lacking in recent times.
Today might have been just one game, as he said, but he'd be a fool to ignore the contribution the youngsters made today and to be fare he did acknowledge it after the game, but hopefully he shows that in his team selection too.
