ferdinand and vidic are out, and hernandez.
could this year be our year ?
1m of spurs > 2m of anyone else
They may be short of Ferdinand,Vidic etc but they will still have their referee !
actually, probably bassong for townsend on the bench probably.
To be honest I think I agree with the OP, looks like that's the best team we can send out with what we have available (although Modric playing is no guarantee - but who knows exactly what's going on there?). Would feel better if Gallas or King could play, but Gallas is injured I think? And King, haven't heard much about him in a long while.
Defoe up top on his own is, as we know, a liability - but what can we do? Pav's just as poor at the lone front man role, and I don't really want to see Crouch in lillywhite ever again. Out of Defoe and Pav, I just think Defoe is the more constant goal threat.
Oh, and Corluka over Walker because it's United - one defensive lapse/getting caught out of position will get punished so I think we need to play it safe. Also, the Walker/Lennon partnership is still untested.
Shame we couldn't have sorted Adebayor and Diarra in time to play, they would certainly be better options that Defoe and Huddlestone in my opinion.
i mean, why 2 meter peter is not in the first 11?
I reckon Modric will play, and give a good performance tbh
We can't have 7 subs any more
...and we should definitely stick Crouch in front of De Gea
DDD :
Sorry, but Crouch is a foul liability.
He cannot seem to use his height advantage to any effect against defences without actually causing an actual/feigned foul (why he needs to touch anyone to jump is beyond me) .

I thought Spurs fans are not dimwits..
Modric always puts in a good performance against man united and chelsea. shame he didnt play against everyone else like he does against them.
don't get the 7 subs reference ? it is 7 isn't it ?
elvis - only joking about the 7. Its changing to 5 isn't it?
As for the subs, if thats the bench it shows we don't have too much depth at the minute
I know Crouchie isn't great but he could cause havoc in the centre of their defence just by being there. No matter what we think of him, with Vidic and probably Ferdinand missing they won't be looking forward to him there.
Yeah I'd go with the team in the article, not sure what HR will do with the RB situation, we should play Corluka as were away and he is better defensively. I can see HR giving Walker the nod tho.
Is he? Walked into a door frame?

NO!!!! United could turn up with a team full of 4 year olds and still would come away with the points at old trafford. We bottle it everytime we play them and the Ref screws us every single time. My minds already on the City game because i know for a fact we will lose tommorow
We've put to bed winning at Anfield and the Emigrates last season. Time the others went too. Mancs and Chavs this season
