Turns out southampton have pulled out of the transfer. I hear on the old grapevine or via e-mails rather that their new manager tried to resign today hence why they have come out with statements that there gonna buy and not sell!
we have been close to finalising morgan for about 6 days now so it has dragged on."

Nope... Only just starting
Don't think we will get JRod though
Saints have a core of players that can achieve survival, which are still at the club.
The players they sold made them a top 10 team.
They want to make their money, steer clear of FFP fines and buy a new batch of starlets that are cheaper but do a similar job.
I'm betting they are relegation material this season.
I thought the tweet from MS pretty poor, hate it when we are on the receiving end.
That tweet showed an utter lack of class from Schneiderlin. What a buffoon.

Its in the OP ace ya daft cannt
Based on how it was all played out in media with Swansea I reckon both deals will happen by or shortly after the weekend.
Remember how the Davies deal broke then at one point it looked like it was not going to happen then it was on again?
We also need to shift some players to make room. This is what I hope is happening behind the scenes.
I see it as been a blinking contest between Levy and the Soton chairman .
The Southampton chairman blinked first and said they were off nowhere which in turn upset at least on of the players and dropping the asking price!
Levy does it again!

Totally agree scribe. Levy's position just got a whole lot easier. If Schneiderlin said nothing I reckon he'd still get his move but we'd have had to pay more in "save face" money to their chairman.
