I went down to Wembley in 81 with a pal from Glasgow where i had recently moved to. His English team was Spurs, (he's a partick Thistle fan), i had paid a tout in London over the odds for a ticket and was well chuffed to be in possession of a bona fide cup final ticket, my mate had no ticket but got in by slipping the guy on the turnstile a fiver
The replay a result of Hutchinson's freak headed own goal after he had almost won it for us with his other goal.So not a very happy Scottish connection that year
the lowest point came five minutes before the highest point

Yes, I never want to feel like I did 1 minute before Sergio scored against QPR again.
Edward,
I think you have it, alongside my 1981 depths, I'd forgotten that feeling of utter despair in the 90th minute 2 years ago. It's hard to comprehend it even now because of how it turned out.
WOW!!

Strange how the extreme euphoria has overwritten those moments. They were horrific.
Yep I agree.
From the depths of despair to proper batshît crazy elation
What a day
Amazing moment even when i watch it back now,my hearts in my mouth and i still think we wont score!!
Last year when Stretty was concerned. His concern had me worried for a moment or two.
gillingham & Qpr before & after both the same feelings of absolute despair to complete jubilation in a matter of 5 mins. Qpr all the sweeter because of the rags reaction, players & fans at the final whistle of their game
1998 at home to Reading. My wife's 30th, about 10 of us in the Platt Lane end to see us lose 0-1 and slip to mid-table (our lowest ever league position in our entire history)
