I think Can, Allen and Henderson are all ahead of Lucas in the pecking order.
Lucas is just too clumsy for me. He never regained his great form following that injury at Stamford Bridge a few seasons ago.
Funny lucas was at his best when we were at our worst
He was the best of a bad bunch.
It's all relative.
I don't think he was ever that good, he just looked a lot better when surrounded by utter dross.
Bradley Wright Phillips scoring 18 goals in the MLS is further evidence.
Can, Henderson, Allen, Coutinho & Sterling is some serious energy in midfield.

No way will Gerrard be a bit part player.
He will start more games than he misses.

I think Gerrard should start most games but not all.
Can, Allen and Hendo will be rotated a lot.
They provide the energy so need more rests.
We will have more rotation in midfield and upfront especially.
I am hoping we have a more settled back line though as we didn't have that last season at all and it showed.

Can really has impressed in every game I've seen him play. I suspect Joe or Lucas will be sidelined to accommodate him, although I have faith in Joe Allen. Hendo is ready to take on the world!!
