It's not that I don't think Bony is a good player but when you already have Adebayor and Soldado then I don't see the point in buying another similar striker.

If we want to be more dynamic and unpredictable then we need a striker who is different to the two we already have. Someone with more pace and drive, someone like Alexandre Pato for instance.

I have never followed Schneiderlin but if Pochettino wants him at Tottenham then it means he suits the style of play and if so then someone has to make way.

I've tried to back Paulinho and hope he turns good but he hasn't shown that yet. A small part of me still thinks he can be a good player for us but at the moment if Schneiderlin comes in then I'd rather keep Sandro who definitely won't play every game and also makes it easier for Bentaleb to get more game time.

Konoplyanka would also be a decent signing if Chadli makes way which would allows Eriksen to play CAM with Holtby back up or even dropping down to CM/ CDM

My concern with getting rid of Chadli is that we will look very light on the left hand side of our attack. Eriksson should be in the number 10 role, which leaves Chadli, Llamela and Townsend (both prefer to play on the right) as the left footed attackers in the squad. If Llamela plays right, Eriksson centre then Townsend is the only choice for the left.

Schneiderlin is a good player but I'm not sure we need him, we have Bentaleb and Capoue who are similar.

On the left - well Poch obviously wants Rodriquez, but don't forget Rose has signed a five-year contract. I really can't see, with the addition of Davies and the emergence of Fryers, that we'd have committed him (or he'd have committed to us) as purely a back-up LB. I wonder if Poch has ideas of playing him further up the pitch. Although he hasn't done that in pre-season so far so I'm probably completely wrong.

Fryers hasn't played LB in over a season. Rose can consider himself lucky to be second choice to Davies.

On topic.. if that's what it takes to get the deal done then fair enough, Chadli is decent but nothing more. Although a CM swap would make a lot more sense.

Chadli >>> J Rod

I want to keep Chadli as we are severely lacking in 'wingers' at the club, with Townsend/Lennon/Nacer being our only options.

If we're calling Chadli a winger then Lamela is too

i would think long and hard before we were to sell chadli.

he is a good player.

Chadli is pure gash. A 'Chronic' type player, someone who is pure gash you back nonetheless - just in case in they come good so you get to say, 'i told you so'.
