Another fantastic session led by younis khan. 420 looks a lot more realistic now. Time to push on after lunch

I think we should aim for 450 minimum. Good opportunity for Safraz to cement his place.

That's a solid total. Enough not to lose the game, even for Pakistan!! 2/3 wickets before close of play will be ideal, but this pitch still batsman friendly, it's offering some turn....

Stunning performance with the bat, considering these guys haven't played any cricket for 6/7 months.

Most of Sri Lanka's run so far have been outside edges. Why has Misbah got the fielders so deep

Exactly- doesn't learn. They still haven't taken a step forward. Junaid has been very unlucky so far.. Ajjy keeping things tight.

Not sure why they picked Talha over wahab either.. Give wahabbi a run of a few games at least ffs

Agree kash, unless we get sanga out quickly.

Pakistans day - just! Tomorrow will decide which way this game goes... Pakistan had sanga plumb, but didnt review it. How costly will that be. Ajjy aside, keeper and misbah didnt want to know

If only we could borrow some runs from that pakistani scoreboard.....

Trent bridge wicket did more than this flat track.

posted on 8/8/14

If it worse than Trent Bridge.. Then I sympathize.
Its so frustraiting when the bowlers give everything and the ball just bounces at knee high and the batsmen can make an error but still have time to adjust.

If our batsman with no cricket for 6 months with help from the tail get you beyond 400 then it is guaranteed to be a flat track. The only danger here is if SL get say 550 and we have a 3rd innings collapse which is possible.

What a pathetic test match. This wicket has clearly been created so Mahela can make runs before he retires. Hope ICC come down hard on SL.

Sl more often than not plat on such wickets to boost their averages. How many runs has sanga scored on these flat tracks in the past 2 years?from bangladesh series to today.

This wicket makes trent bridge look good. Amd sl complain that no one comes to watch test matches.

posted on 9/8/14

if theres sufficient enough time ie 4 half 5 days without weather interuptions. there should be a result in a test match.. if the same test venue produces the same result in 2 out of 3 test matches played there. that venue should be stripped of being able to host a test match for at least 3 years.

What a beast Sangakkara is turning out to be. As a specialist batsman , has nearly 9000 runs with 30 tons with average over 71. The greatest Test batsman I have watched , and I have been a fan for 10 years now.
His record against Pakistan who are considered most talented bowling unit, alone warrants him a place amongst greats.
Congrats Sanga.

we should drop manzoor and make azhar open with younis and misbah next and find another batsman for number 5.

possibly bring akmal in and play him at 6

Khurram will hopefully had played his last game for Pakistan now.

We deserve to lose this today for the negative batting.

Only Pakistan can perform like this... Very unique. Unbelievable. Openers need shooting, and does anyone know what younis khans second innings record is?
