yeah, which means the ice enima will actually be ice
I've done it and i'm doing another similar event in Notts on the 12th October.
With 10 months to go, you should do what I did for tough mudder. Found a 20 weeks Marathon training plan for beginner's and followed that. By the time I got to Tough Mudder my fitness was so high that it was an absolute piece of p|ss.

I've never bought into this cutting out certain types of food for these sort of events. I was hammered on Monday night, but did a 46.5 minute 10k last night comfortably. I think once you get your fitness to a certain level you can get away with most things. Me and my mate did the Manc 10k hungover a few weeks ago and were fine, apart from a minor throwing up incident around the 8k mark

If you are doing a marathon, nutrition is important a week or so prior to the event.
Oh yea.. a marathon of course.. but 10k? Not so much. I'm running a half marathon later this year and then marathon next spring. I'm already pretty comfortable running 15 miles. This week is building up to a 20 miler on Sunday, which i'm quite looking forward to!
I do a 4 mile run every other day and up it to 7 before a half marathon. Only done one this year though.
Not attempted a marathon yet, I'd love to but I think the commitment is much more important than for a half. Although I'm told it's much more the mental barriers that affect you.
I'll let you know! So far i'm finding it quite enjoyable, but then I imagine that this 20 miler on Sunday will be more of a mental test than the 15 milers have been. At the moment when I start to get tired around the 10 mil mark I can tell myself i'm already two-thirds there... On Sunday when I get to the 10 mile point I will only be half way
Did the midlands tough Mudder for the first time last month, found it quite enjoyable actually, and I did it with about 3 months training so no doubt you'd be fine. Just in case, if you have the walk the plank event, don't be stupid enough to think that the bit you climb the rope down is a slide, or you may get a cracked ankle and the arctic enema is more about the anxiety before hand, just get it over with. We found it refreshing once we made it out (horrible while doing it though) as it really cools you down! Good luck for it
Piece of p!ss mate. Pretty sure I could just rock up and do it without any training.
Same here, Elvis.
But I am awesome.
OF course mate.
Just not as awesome as me.
