sometimes that quick pas and move game doesent work.....
and we need a plan B i.e. cross, long ball etc....
He can break down stubborn defences which we will see more of this year.
Did you say the same comment on the LFC website? or just copy the person who did?
How in gods name can someone as slow as Lambert have a part to play in our very quick pass & move game .
===========================================================
How would you describe Southampton's game, (for whom he was one of the top assist-makers in the league last year)?
You think they were hoof merchants?
I personally wouldn't say Lambert's game is similar to Carroll's, (and BR clearly doesn't think so either, though what you appear to be implying is that it is similar, but BR hasn't noticed).
Lambert is much better on the ground than Carroll, though.

I also posted it on there in another name. I was so gutted at the way we played against Utd I nearly posted it to the Vatican . Must admit I am sick to death of Rodgers` inane after match comments .
Lambert is just tired from all the minutes he played at the World Cup.
I think people need to relax.
He has played 3 pre-season friendlies.
Look at his record over last 3 years - it's a fantastic rate of goals/assists
Lets wait and see before we dismiss the lad
Again people mis quote and talk rubbish.
In the interview he says Lambert knows he won't be playing every week but will have a part to play.
Carrol was told that he wouldn't be first choice and as such wouldn't be playing week in week out. He moved for the sake of his career, he wasn't kicked out. BR would have kept him if he was happy with being a bit part player.

So our plan `B` is hoof ball , you had better not let Brendan hear you that .
I'm more concerned about a 'Liverpool fan' who has named himself Fergus and 20, which happens to be the amount of league titles United have won.
Make of that what you will.

Rodgers would have given Carroll away when he first became manager because he was so obsessed with the ticka tacka idea . He is now slowly changing his views , the next one to change will be passing the ball for minutes on end in their own area , the players are not comfortable with it , & it invariably ends in an error.

We struggled to second and nearly winning the league.
Carroll was kicked out because he could control a ball or try to run without doing an impersonation of bambi on ice..
Lambert actually has more to his game and can pass the ball.
you guys are severely underrating lambert...will be a better bu then lallana.

That's a cracker , I am now horrified to be associated with the only `person` I have ever hated . As I have already explained to another unbelieving clown on these boards the word `Fergus` was the name of my biggest ever mate ie my old Staffie god rest his soul . My wife at the time said something like `I don`t believe you have called the dog that` . 20 happens to be my birth day .

Yep, happened loads last season didn't it. Was a real struggle. I just wish we could be competing for the title and in the CL again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If our goals against is the same this season as last there is no way we will be in C/L .
Rickie Lambert isn't a player you hoof the ball to. Southampton are not West Ham or Stoke, they're actually one of the best passing teams in the league and almost always try to keep it on the ground.
He's basically a poor man's Berbatov
All last season the main criticism I heard towards our squad was a lack of a plan b. Rodgers goes out and buys an a striker who is different to anyone else we have at the club and now everyone says he won't fit our style and it was a poor signing.
How are we meant to have a plan b by buying players that are similar to ones we already have and 'fit' our system?
