How funny would it be if we don't qualify this season?
Let's not beat around the bush. We should be too good for any of those teams.
Not too bothered who we get in the draw, just hope it doesn't involve too much travel.
Much prefer Standard Liege or Copenhagen ahead of Bilbao, Besiktas or Lille tbh.
Think people can get too complacent after last seasons demolition of Feyenoord.

Not funny at all
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mean comparing it to recent seasons. In 10/11 we had just sold Fab and Nasri. We were in crisis and still beat a strong Udinese team
Last season we had no transfers. Media were salivating at us losing so they could go on about Wenger/transfers/crisis
Now we actually go into the qualifier with some optimism having not lost any players and having signed Sanchez.
I would be p1ssed if we don't qualify but there'd definitely be a funny side to it
Copenhagen go 1 up, so dreams of a trip to Ukraine hang in the balance.

Weirdly, it might benefit us. If we hadn't gotten our business done already, we might have been hindered by the possibility (however faint) of not qualifying. But now that we've got business all wrapped up, the pressure's off to try and attract new signings and the lack of extra games might even give us the edge.
What lack of extra games? We would be going to Far East Russia and Kazakhstan on a Thursday night instead...
Would be terrible for the club.

It's the Europa League, let kids like Hayden and Zelalem deal with it.
And Laraman? Don't be naive. Yes it may be 'squad players' in the main, but it still will be a massive strain on us.

But not to the extent the Champions League will be. We play a few group games, get out of it early, then we focus on a competition that matters.
We would go through even with a second string.
Always said I would love to play in the Europa if it wasn't for rival fans taking the píss out of it. We'd have a great chance to win a European trophy.
Europa League? Never would I take that over Champions League.
Besiktas 3 Feyenoord 1, Demba Ba hattrick.
With Besiktas almost through, Demba Ba could repay his value within a month.
Wishing for Europa league sheer lunacy on so many levels. Even Harry Redknapp admitted he did not want to be in it
I think if we are realistic Wenger probably isn't going to win the CL, particuarly if he only has 3 more attempts. 0 successes in 18 attempts and including a team that went unbeaten for 49 straight games probably indicates it's not his strength.
In theory I wouldn't really mind Europa if it meant fielding 5 or 6 kids every game, but I'd genuinely miss our big European ties at the Emirates.
Though the Bayern game last season finished with an underwhelming result, was still an amazing atmosphere, don't think I sat down all game. That's what footballs about, imo, not hypothesizing about the advantage of having less games and so on
Europa instead of Champions League ????
F3cking stupidity of some people
