Look at this 18

There's not a lot of filler in there. We have the makings of a winning squad.

It's [on paper] better than nearly everybody else in this division surely?

Remember the relegated teams will have lost confidence after a season of getting hammered.

Our new centre mid' is Greg Halford. I felt sorry for him; Billy plays him up front on match day and makes him train as a defender!

The wee man was seriously losing the plot last time out

Just a thought, i forgot Cohen was a cm, a viable option?

posted on 6/8/14

if lansbiry leaves, your cms will look a bit weak

but your defence is one that we envy tbh

Darlow (de vries)
Lichaj (hunt)
Hobbs (lacelles)
Fox (manc/Wilson)
Cohen (fox)
Vaughan (Halford/manc)
Reid (Paterson)
Lans (Osborn)
Antonio (Burke)
Fryatt
Conga (Lars)

Very strong starting and reserve 11. Definitely an improvement on both counts

I'd be interested to see the ins and outs this window, and the overall nett spend. Given who I remember going out and coming in, including the JL KD return loans, I think we're about even on spend but much better off with quality players?

*cough*someone do it for me*cough*

I'm not cool enough for hashtags, I still do cough jokes.

Look at these two:

Fawaz al-Hasawi
Stuart Pearce

Not looking quite so rosy now, eh?

posted on 7/8/14

ATR, on Monday Pearce said the net spend was 1m. From then we've just had conga and Antonio.

1m -5m (Karl and jamelle) + 5m (conga) - 1.2m (600k each for cox and mackie) - 2.5m (Antonio) = a net spend of 2.3m

"Not looking quite so rosy now, eh?"

For the sheep, I don't suppose it is.

Well said vidal

Tonto, why on earth is is not so rosy for Derby?

I came on here to congratulate your manager and owner on an astute bit of business, bagging Assombalongthewatchtower - a snip at £5.5 million, and Antonio for the ridiculously low price of £2.5 million - and you seem somewhat bewildered and deluded.

No change there then.

We do what we want

Not sure why people think our squad is the best in the division. It's dangerous being that blinkered. We have some good players but 18 won't be enough unless we are amazingly lucky with injuries and we need to remember that many of the 18 are injury prone - Lichaj, Cohen, Wilson, Hobbs, Lansbury, Vaughan, Reid. Last season the back up for those players was sub standard. It's great that we've moved on the likes of Miller, Greening, Moussi, Hendo, Raddi and possibly a Cox and Mackie (although to be fair to Mackie he was quite useful). However we still have players like Coliins, Halford, Harding and McLaughlin who to me aren't good enough for a promotion push. So you take away some injured player and include some poor ones and we are no way near the best side in the league. In fact we look ore like mid table again.

Vidal has put his scalpel right in the centre of the boil.

Amongst all the false cheer at KCG there's a deep underlying unease. How long can Psycho continue to put up with Farwazi's interference? I'll tell you! for as long as the results are going well. But as soon as a few defeats are recorded the blame game will start. And there will only be one winner there.

It's a good thing the fixtures computer has granted Forest a 3 point start.

Keogh and Buxton, enough said.

Keep on topic guys. The thread is about Forest and its: "good as any in the division" team.

Honestly Forest fans stop your moaning. We have a cracking squad for this league and now we have the striker that we have been crying out for for years. Big strong bags of pace and skill and a great goal to game ratio. There isn't that much difference between championship and league 1 defences. Fawaz is backing the club big time. Large transfer fees and I expect big wages which no one seems to mention. SP will bring backup from the academy if we get injuries. We are all set for potentially the best season in years. Would you prefer to have a Leeds or Blackpool owner? Get behind the manager, owner and the team.

Garibaldi1982 is right. Forest fans are always so fickle.

Should be a good atmosphere on Saturday. Going to get down, parked up, walk around the ground and take the atmosphere in, get something to eat and a pint then into the ground....

Can't wait

Pearce will be fine. We all know where his heart is.

Best man currently available for the job and the owner knows that
