Simple answer Yes
But to progress we need goals, four players getting 15 each would be a help, four players getting 15 each and one getting over twenty would be even better.
I think Mr Cellino has his eyes on another striker.
yeah Eric agreed but where are the goals in the team right now, Morrison could do something if he gets some sort of consistency, Smith is okay for 10+ but after that???
Sniffer ...............
At the start of the season who'd have imagined that Ings/Vokes would score so many????
It's not just about the player, it's the formation and how all the team fit into it (sorry if that sounds a bit preachy!).
We might find we get goals from throughout the team, not just a reliance on a focal point.
hope so Sheldon, looking forward to Saturday but nervous about the result
"without replacing Ross's goals"
Scored only 59 league goals last year. Only Matt Smith and Rossco scored more than 3.
I don't think we need to worry too much about replacing Ross; much more that we need a fair number of others to get their fair share of between 5 and 10, alongside one or two hitting 15-20.
I think we'll survive. There are three worse teams than us in the league, and I think everyone will chip in more this season. We won't be as reliant on one player. Having said that the team and its players are unproven hence the lukewarm league predictions before the season kicks off. But I expect us to survive. Especially having survived with the dross of last year and the year before. The league might be stronger at the top this year, but the bottom half is as average as ever. I wold hope that Leeds can be at least top of that average group and show some sort of progress....
We dont automatically have his goals again if he stays.
Far too many factors come into play to say him going or not makes a difference.
Last season his goals saved us. This is a new season, with new players to step up.
yeah still think you need a 15-20 man like long short says...and the rest of the guys chipping in 5/6/10 whatever... will see us right..hope so anyway
Yep, gate said it. Smith scored 10 in a poor team, Murphy has shown he has goals in him and Rudy also has goals in him even if 1in 5 of his blockbuster shots go on, but still he can provide goals IMO.
We have Ajose who like or loath scored 17 last season,Mao also knows how to put the ball in the net.
Doukara
Bianchi
Cannot say, but I'm willing to bet each get a sound tally.
Pearce and Soren...again I can see these two getting on the scoresheet at a push 5 or 6.
Then there is this striker, the mystery striker touted on twitter...
With current squad I don't think we'll go up and I don't think we'll go down. That could change promotion wise depending on transfers before the end of t' month
