Annoying how Luka isn't playing cos his head out! As for the Adebayor sticking points, I hope they can iron em out because our wage structures are so far apart!
We dont know that he isnt injured
Well Harry said that he is injured but could play but his head isn't right. Hopefully once the window shuts he'll be okay!
I wouldn't be surprised if Harry opted for Crouch to test Utd's new keeper and young defence.
Only problem is, while that might work in theory, we all know Crouch is pants and he can't head the ball to save his life unless it is handed on a plate to him and 2 inches from goal.
I say stick with Thursdays line up, but if Hudd is fit then play him. Hudd and Kranjcar's lack of pace would worry me so I wouldn't mind Livermore next to hudd, but Man-u away might be a bit too much for the inexperienced lad.
I think we all know who Harry is hinting at with the 2 new signings and I hope we get both Diarra and Ade.
Crouch has an ankle injury and wont play
How do you know Modric is definately out?
In the papers today they said he has said he has no issues with playing... too right as well!
have to say im a little bit annoyed with what Harry has said re Luka..... could play through the injury but his head isnt right?
i might call my boss in the morning and explain i wont be into work this week as my head isnt right, i expect to be fully paid though.
Harry said on Talksport this evening mate
Because I've just heard Harry say he was out....Could be just him trying to confuse everybody
Harry needs to S.T.F.U
I can't imagine how livid levy is after Harry's interviews. Its pretty obvious K.Bond got a royal bol***king after his stupid interview saying Modric has a price.
Levy needs to lay and the law. Most sane managers would refuse to comment and move onto the next question, but not Harry 'I love my own voice' Redknapp.
TBH Harry said nothing wrong tonight , he seemed happy when he heard that Chelsea had signed Mata and he genuinely seemed to think that that would be the end of Chelseas pursuit........
well i thought it was a positive interview for once and loved the way How harry back tracked on his recent comments about "Getting 4 players in if we sell modric" He was basically admiting he was wrong for saying it in a certain way. Anyway the fact that he said " were definetly getting a couple of players next week" and also the fact he mentioned a striker and Midfielder as Key position surely must mean Adebayor and Diarra are in the bag? Personally i believe Levy has a suprise signing for Harry up his sleeve deadline day. Onto the Modric issue, i'm bit annoyed with Modric for his "head not being right" But everything that come out of harrys mouth about Modric seemed positive even with the whole " Levy going to meet with Modric next month when and discuss a better contract" .... Mata for chelsea.....good i'm happy
I agree with most of that Don, except the Adebayor deal concerns me, maybe I'm being paranoid but I can't see a resolution to the wage issue!
Berbatov's head wasn't right either... sounds somehow all too familiar.
... if his head isn't right and he can't play (work is what the rest of us do) then don't pay him this weeks wages.
Will never happen what with player power being what it is.
Yeh personally i would fine Modric but i don't think they want to rock the boat as it already is......Hopefully once this window ends and we get a few players in Modric will start to play for the club again with a bit of passion like before. Cheslea fans still think their getting modric
Don, I'm 50/50 on whether I think he'll go or not. On hand I think it's important that we show resolve as a club and not bow to the financial weight of Chelsea, but at the same time - we're talking about getting a lot of money for a player who by all accounts doesn't want to be with us.
I think (hope) he'll stay and get his head together (rolling my eyes) but I can see a similar scenario to Berbatov happening... just a gut feeling.
I can see us all asking ourselves soon enough, has Modric gone on strike... or are his injuries genuine. It's not a good sign if he's not playing tomorrow (or at least on the bench).
there is no comparison between Modric and Berbatov .....Maybe Keane and Modric but not Berba
I doubt that he has gone on strike because if he did the management would have said so , they did it before
Don :
Of course they do.
They have to believe they are a "big" club like Man Utd, otherwise why will Spurs sell to them.
he said deal agreed for Mata but Mata chose to stay at Valencia
Also that we met the £16 release clause for Jones, as did 4 or 5 others, but he went to Utd.
Strangely, Levy is away in USA.....get back here now DL and start signing some players!
Modric is injured but "his head is not in the right place".
He was also very clearly towing the Levy line on Modric not being sold, back tracking on his sell Modric buy 4 oters comments of the other. I think DL has had words with him
Modric is acting like a girl who got fingered on prom night, and didn't like it.
At the end of the day Modric has been told his staying,so he should just get on with it,stop saying iv got a twinge Luka,we know you are lying.
Levy doesn't need to be in the UK for deals to happen
Also, I thought Harry said if the last details of the Adebayor deal can't be sorted we'd move on. To who?
On Thudd, I thought he included him amongst the injured. Shame that
It also sounds like Walker will start. Not sure whether his pace against Young is better than Corluka's defending.
