I think that Fletcher has done enough in pre-season to convince LVG that he can hold off until January to see if Strootman has overcome his injury. That said, I am not convinced that Strootman will want to leave in the middle of the season. Roma have a chance for the title and will likely still be in the CL.

On Woodwards MANUTD.COM interview a few weeks back he also said that it is fundamentally LVG decision whether we'll be making signings.So I think its a two way thing at the moment.
You have to wonder whether LVG is that desperate in bringing players in.

But Its certainly has that ominous feel about things at the moment concerning transfer dealings.Hope Im wrong on that.

It depends which Saturday.

I guess it also depends who's knee he replaces his with.

I think if he replaced his with like, the Terminator's, or maybe Batman's then I think he'd be fine.

That escalated quickly

I think we will do business, LVG might want to see us in a couple of competitive games though first.

The shining light I am taking from this is hopefully, deadline day will be worth watching for once. I am always following it at work and then from home but it is usually other teams everyone is getting excited about.

A big deadline day transfer would be quality so i'll be half hopefull right until the deadline passes that at least 1 quality player will be signed.

The worst thing is literally all put rivals have done their business and now their squads have time to gel.

So if we don't strengthen are squad isn't gonna be strong enough and if we do were gonna be weeks behind the teams we want to be competing with. ed.
