A team who finishes on 79 pts and outside of a CL slot come May is going to be feeling very sorry for themselves indeed.

I suppose there's always a first time to finish outside the CL slot,but not this year,feeling confident about that.

RDBD - that's true, I'm hoping we don't roll over and die every time we come up against the Sky 4 this season, a win against Arsenal will not only give us more points, but also them less.

I would be happy with 10th and winning the Europa League, otherwise it has to be top 6 and decent football.

What do you think will be the points total needed for 4th place this season ??

Arsenal will easily make the top 3, although I don't think they will be within 6 points of the title. Liverpool, Man United, Spurs, Everton battling for 4th, and I would rate the chances of each team in that order.

RDBD, I think 74/75 will do the trick this year

That would IMHO mean the :

- general standard of the PL being a lot better than last season
- the points being shared more equally in the clashes between the final top 5/6 teams.

80. should be enough,lot of the big six will drop points against each other,making for a low points total to win the league,no one will run away with the title,expect a close run thing,the team that can keep injury free will be in pole position.

certainly not you. i would have fallen asleep by the time you had finished

80 pts : much like last season (big gap from 4th to the rest, top 4 in an 7-8 pt band etc) . With Man Utd likely to get their act together a bit, I reckon at least 76 pts will get a team 4th place.
