If he can stay fit and replicates this form all season then he will rank as No.1

He has everything a midfielder needs to be world class.


I just hope Jack pulls out a similar recovery.

What is it with Man U fans bumming Vidal? He keeps rejecting them but they keep treating him like he has played for them all their lives! It would be interesting to see how many of his goals came from penalties.

P.S. The three mentioned didn't include Vidal...

Modric is my favourite and probably the best midfielder in the world right now.

Keeps rejecting us? You can't believe everything you read in the papers. I don't think there's been anything concrete about him rejecting or signing for us, it's all just made up.

I only mentioned him because I rate him as one of the best midfielders in the world. Hardly bumming him

I like Ramsey, but he is a long way off being top ten in the world let alone top 3.

Those were deluded gooners, Ramsey has been on form for what 18months now, consistently playing well.

In any case the OP is a WUM who probably isn't even a gooner.

Ramsey is a class player.

But top 3 OP?

Whilst I think its an overstatement to say he's top 3, to laugh him out of the top 10 is short-sighted - he has many attributes of a top class midfielder.

Firstly he has excellent technique, both in his passing and his ball manipulation in tight spaces - he is not a creative genius like Arsenal's Cesc or David Silva but he is good enough in this area to influece the game, and it is uncommon to have his technique in tandem with his other considerable qualities.

For example he aslo has a fantastic engine - not only to make a lung-busting run to finish off a sweeping counter attack, but also to track back, and he is excellent at pressing and winning the ball from a standing position - to be highly capable in both attack and defense is the mark of a high-class all-round midfielder.

I personally believe that the difference between a good all-round centre mid and a world-class CM is their ability to summon a moment of match-winning inspiration on a regular basis, and Ramsey has made many crucial interventions in tight football games this last year, so he should at least be considered among the best, even if we can't unequivocally say he is one of the top 3 in the world because he hasn't shown this level of performace over a number of season...yet.

Modric, Fabregas, Xavi, Xabi Alonso, Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Vidal, Yaya, Pogba etc etc

It's not hard to find players better than Ramsey and I'm quite a big Ramsey fan.

Not a bad list but wouldn't swap Ramsey for any of them.

I would have Ramsey over all the CMs mentioned on this article, tbh the only midfielder I would have at Arsenal ahead of him is Fabregas. Don't really care if people say I'm deluded, he is easily one of the top 3 midfielders going at the moment.

Am I the only person who thinks Kroos is quite overrated?
