Not many people are raving over Burke but he has started very well.
Paterson isn't really getting a look in at the moment which just goes to show we are bringing in talented players.
What I find good is that Pearce isn't one for sitting back and defending. This team wants to score goals.
Gone are the dark days of 5 forwards on the bench and a CB playing upfront. <TFFT>
If SP has only 20 percent of the Clough/Taylor magic, then the present squad could become a very fine team in this division!
"Early days but second place behind Derby is eminently achievable."

I'd take that
At least we would avoid the playoffs for once, don't think I can take another playoff defeat not good for the old mental health

If you offered me 2nd spot to Derby, with the proviso that Derby beat us 10-0 home and away I'd take that without hesitating!
It looks like Lansbury will sign a new deal according to Pearce today.

That would be stunning news Really think with him staying we could easily push on for top spot!
Best be cautious see where things take us, but would be a very positive step and some of the "fans" who gave him sticks would need to eat a lot of humble pie
Very good squad. Should challenge. If "britt ass empire " scores 20 goals I think we will go close. Norwich and Wigan our biggest threat. Our best 11 is very strong.
I
all about getting some momentum. we have the quality to do anything
I'll reserve judgement until Forest have played the likes of Cardiff, Norwich and champions-elect Derby!
