Good choice although there are some Villa fans out there who would disagree....
He did ok not 100% sure about the footballing side but commercially probably very good.
Think you'll do alright with him. He'll have learnt a lot at Villa. And basically I think people have him down as a good bloke who will do his best for the club.
At bleeding last. Although transfer wise we have done alright without him. Lets see what hwe can do commercially.
"I know the last one left such a bad taste that we have only just decided to get round to it, but I for one as I am sure Pearce is, that we are finally getting the backroom stuff all together"
English: it's tricky.
The commercial side of things needs attention at Forest so hopefully he can get stuck into that side if things.
I think a lot of areas need attention after Billy's dismantling of the club behind the scenes. SP has brought in those that relate to football matters and hopefully the CEO (when confirmed) can sort out other matters such as paying bills on time, internal and external communications and as you say commercial opportunities etc.
If there is doubts over his football knowledge that doesn't concern me too much as we have a structure in place to help manage that.
Anyone want to put odds on Notts County getting relegated this season; followed by the offer of bumper deal from Faulkner to the manager from there to go to Forest?
Flipping great away win at Stoke and they still aren't happy!
Happy he's gone.
I think he's to blame for a lot of negative stuff at the villa. Randy was totally nieve and believed almost everything he said. He made Mcleish the 20th best paid football manager in the world! Higher than the then manager of Barcelona..
Hope it works out for you guys. Imo he would be better off going back to selling credit cards.
