His positioning is brilliant though, always has been since he first appeared for us.
Hence the new Sheringham tag.

shame about his lack of pace
Always has faith in kid. Still do. Don't mind him starting a few games if Ade is off form, ill or at AFcon.
He's not great but he's better than I first thought. Not a bad third choice

I like to think that poch will help him develop to the next level, as he did with lambert / Lallana / Rodriguez etc
I really like him, he has a way to go yet but very glad he's a spurs player and hope he gets opportunities this year. Would muh rather him as 3rd or second choice than buy another striker.
I'd be great if he made it with us and become a first team player
He does seem to be one of those players who gets in the right positions at the right time.
They must have high hopes for him, he has just signed a new contract
Like Teddy, Kane is showing you don't have to be fleet of foot to be a decent forward (scorer or team player) . But the comparisons end there. Teddy was something very special in his understanding of positioning. If Kane acquires a tenth of that ability, he would have developed very well indeed.
Interesting read OP
Let's hope he surprises a few people.
Kane has that special understanding of positioning and movement, he shows it every game.
In his debut for us he showed it, just people remember his useless shots back then.
Few years ago I thought he was useless but he really has improved a lot and looks to have developed into a really good player. People keep forgetting he is only 21. He seems a lot older as he has been with us for so long but fair play to Harry as he's improved his game and worked hard to get where he is. I'm excited to see what he can achieve at spurs.
Ive always rated Kane and im delighted he's well though of by the new management team and i trust their judgement over some of the posters on here who constantly say he isnt good enough.
Same applies to Bentaleb another talented player with all of the tools to be a top player.
Yes these players are raw and yes they will make mistakes but we need to develop them.

Agreed. It's a bit early for the Sheringham comparisons, the game's changed since then anyway. He's got to score regularly, and work on his strength when he's holding the ball up.
Would be good to have a home grown striker
really proud of Kane. he really is one of our own. local lad and come up through the academy (which is FINALLY starting to produce a good quality player quite frequently)
jury is still out as to whether he will make it long term at spurs, but very happy to have him at the moment and have no qualms about starting or coming on in prem games if selected
If he is involved in the QPR game at WHL and does well then I can imagine the crowd breaking into a chant of "There's only one Harry". I bet that will ruffle a few old feathers on the away team's bench.

At the moment my best hope for Kane would be if he turns out to contribute as much to the cause as Mark Falco did in the 80s.
On one hand i dont rate him, then on the other i look at the assists he creates, how he holds the ball up and other stuff he contributes.
I certainly think he gives us more than Soldado - and i'm not sure he's good enough for the level where we want - but happy to give the lad a chance.
